on CPI(M) and labour unions
by Lata Nair on May 13, 2009 03:04 PM  | Hide replies

On the issue of democartically run parties, CPI(M) has a democratic set-up. Meetings and elections are held at regular intervals.
Secondly, labour unions were formed to take care of labour rights. Like everthing else, the workings of the labour unions have got coloured, but they are the ones who brought dignity to the workers and rights.

Nobody has given the license to kill on behalf of CPM. If some bad elements are found, they will be expelled. Still that number does not come near to those done by BJP, Congress, Bihari parties etc.

THE ROLE OF THE LEFT BRIGADE
by hyder ali on May 13, 2009 02:26 PM

The left will be a very important role in Indias future .
1. they will kill all industries and form unions.
2. they will flood the vibrant cities with migrant workers for votes and turn the entire city into a huge stinking slum
3. they will allow influx of Bangladeshi muslims for the sake of votes and compromise highly on the security of the country .

This is absurd. How some body can call for support to christ serving governments. Wen In India, it is democracy and true secularism, where is the question of supporting such a government and by inviting the poeople to do so is a crime. If you say to support a government serving the crist, then what is wrong in asking the support in the name of HINDU religion when there is no other place for the Hindus to go. Thereforfe stop this type of non-sense.

Somnath has shown his devotion towards party and praise worthy, we have very politicians like him.
However all oldies must retire, better in time say around 50 or so, 65% of our population is less than 35, power must remain with youngis.oldies may remain advisers.

A party which is controlled by a danasty is dynastic party. There is no harm in a relative becoming a politician. See example of US parties. They hv Mr & Mrs Clinton but they don't control the party. Mrs Clinton was defeated in internal election by Obama.

If a Leader's Son becomes Leader, everyone calls it Dynastic. What you will call these Parties:-
BJP caring for Hindus,
BSP's love for Dalits,
SP's love for Muslims,
Akalis caring for Sikhs,
Shiv Sena doing everything for Marathi Ashmita,
CPM's love for China,
CPI's regards for Russia,
Karuna & Amma's love for Tamil Eelam, etc. etc.
Because a Son of Congress Voter will continue to vote for Congress & Son of BJP supporter will continue to support BJP. So, just like Leaders, the Voters in India are also Dynastic.
But no such love & care has ever been shown by Bush, Clinton & Obama for Whites or Blacks. They love & care more for the country than their voters.

Somnath sab is a real communist.Like VS in Kerala.
But unfortunately the party is now with Mr Karat who has no mass support. He needs to depend on Kerala and Bengal people.
Kerala every body knows what is happening.

Yes. Gopalan & H.S.Surjeet had lot of mass support. Even Jyoti Basu in his advanced age still commands greater respect & mass support than these present day products of JNU.

To become a real communist, you need to become a slave of CPM?
Thats new news

Everyone in this country knows that what he did was right. He was the Speaker. If the speaker continues to behave as local party leader, how he can act unbiasedly in the parliament...

And why Karat and Yechury is changing their words day by day.
Initially told no=-cong, no-BJP. NOw telling only no-BJP. Rest will decide later....

Now tell who are oppertunists

You are not right though there is substance in saying that to become a communist you need not be under CPM. But since Somnath chatterjee became a member of CPM before becoming an MP and he become speaker because he was a CPM MP, he is bound to follow the party line. What is so pristine about presiding a house which witnesses some of the ugliest happenings immediately after the Left withdrawal? Could anybody allow him to continue as speaker, if the Manmohan govt. failed in the confidence vote. Do he not remember the days BJP plays all tricks against him in parliament in the beginning days of speakership simply because he is a communist? How many times he was forced to offer resignation because of that? So everybody in parliament first belongs to a party beyond everything else. Then why he alone not?
