Guess what would be UPA’s next move if they cling on to pow
by annamalai on May 14, 2009 12:55 AM

Very soon all signs of Hinduism Ashok chakra Lotus may vanish In a move that touches the pit’s bottom, UPA has changed the emblem of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan from Lotus and shining Sun to Cross and Crescent. And this has been done in the name of “broader reflection of national ethos.” Board of Governors of KVS in its 79th meeting held on 26.6.2008 approved the new logo and a circular was sent to all offices and schools of the Sangathan on July 17, 2008, to change the emblem in all the publications and communications. Though the chairman of KVS, HRD Minister Arjun Singh did not attend the meeting, the minutes of the meeting stated that the emblem has been approved by the chairman. His deputy Shri Md Ali Ashraf Fatmi, Minister of State, HRD & Deputy Chairman, was also not present at the meeting. circular issued by the Asst. Commissioner (Acad I), KVS, said “in order to give a broader reflection of national ethos and ought (sic) to be inclusive of challenges, opportunities, rationalistic, scientific and global thinking, advances in science & technology & social changes taking place in the society” (sic) the new emblem has been created. The picture shows a book with blank pages, and apparently two human forms emerging from globe. The crescent (an Islamic symbol) and two crosses and stars (Christian) are obvious. UPA govt released coins of Rs 2 denomination with cross on them. There is move to change our national motto ‘Satyameva Jayate’

plea to Congress/Secular party Pls do not divide nation further
by Balaraman on May 13, 2009 10:45 PM

On religion language north-south basis
Latest in the series of controversies centred on the Congress party’s fixation with Muslim grievances is the data collection exercise involving the Indian Armed Forces.
It is irrelevant and mischievous to mention about caste-based divisions in the Army during the British rule.
Congress leaders not only divided the country politically but also militarily. The military officers and men of pre-independence India , belonging to all communities fought the WWII together under the British.

Pakistan got a ready-made army at its birth. When Indian Muslims got Pakistan they also got a Muslim army carved out of the undivided Indian Army. This army produced Pakistani generals and officers who fought wars with India — the first full scale war being in 1965. This is history in living memory.

The Congress party having divided and ruled the country for decades is continuing with its dangerous game and monstrous thinking of doing a head count for the Army now.

What Gandhi The Father of Nation Said about Religion?
by shukla on May 13, 2009 07:52 PM  | Hide replies

father of the Nation, " Religion and state will be separate. I swear by my religion, I will die for it. But it is my personal affair. The state has nothing to with it. The state will look after your secular welfare, health, communications, foreign relations, currency and so on, but not your or my religion. That is everybody's personal concern". (Gandhi quoted in Madan, 1997,4 IJS).

what Nehru has to say on the issue, "What it means is that it is a state which honors all faiths equally and gives them equal opportunities; that as a state, it does not allow itself to be attached to one faith or religion, which then becomes the state religion...In a country like India, no real nationalism can be built up except on the basis of secularity...narrow religious nationalisms are a relic of the past age and no longer relevant today."

Politics and Religion
by shukla on May 13, 2009 07:44 PM  | Hide replies

Last two decades have witnessed a constant invocation of religion in the arena of politics. From George Bush's crusade against terrorism to Osama bin Laden's Jihad against the greatest Satan, US, to our own home bred Hindutva ideology which aims at Hindu Rashtra, one constantly gets to hear that politics is to be guided by religion. So when Mr. Advani, the pioneer of Ram Temple movement which brought Hindutva to the fore, stated in Ahamadabad that if there was no religion in politics then it was of no use to him (July 26 2004), it was not much of a surprise.

India will never flourish, when the political parties take religion and caste in their tool box. India will go worser and worser. People of India must be given Human resource education towards anti religion and anti castism.

It is not only the Advani parivar, which will argue on these lines. This parivar is in the company of Talibans, Zia Ul Haque and others from near the borders who also conduct their politics in the name of religion. On the face of it the two trends may sound antagonistic while there is a deeper conceptual unity in both the streams. This stream is joined by an unexpected quarter of Post Modernists, the likes of Ashish Nandy to whom Secularism is a Western graft unsuitable and unnecessary here as diverse communities here have been living together peacefully in the same geographical area.

One has seen than impact of religion in the politics through the politics of Muslim League, Hindu Mahasabha, RSS, Taliban and the like. It will be worth its while to think as to with what aspect of life we associate religion with. With the dictates of clergy or with the humanistic teachings of saints. Here, there is no point in asserting that clergy and saint were both religious. Yes both of them were talking in the language of religion, clergy on behalf of those in power and saints on behalf of those poor and destitute struggling for their survival. One has seen Advani's 'politics with religion' leading to demolition of Babri Masjid, Taliban's 'politics with religion' leading to demolition of Bamiyan Buddha.

Congree is most Communal part in India
by Deepak Khanna on May 13, 2009 07:38 PM  | Hide replies

Its laughable how congress calls bjp as communal, though it itself is the most communal party in India. Congress in anti0-hindu and anti-sikh. Everyone knows about the 84 killings. And we hindus never get proviledges like the muslims in our own country. If people continue supporting congress taliban rule will be there in India in 10-15 years for sure as muslims grow in geometric progression unlike us who grow in arithmetic progression. Only bjp can stop this.

LATEST RESULTS NOW BY EVEN THE WESTERN BASED CENSORS .THE BJP SHIV SENA WILL UPROOT THE VERY CORRUPT AND WORTHLESS 10YRS RULE IN MAHARASTRA BY CONGREESS NCP .
BJP WILL ALSO GET A FEW SEATS IN TAMIL NADU SETTING THEIR FOOT TO EVENTUALLY TAKE OVER IN TAMIL NADU IN THE FUTURE .THIS WILL BE ANOTHER OF THEIR FOOTHOLD AFTER THEIR TAKE OVER IN ANOTHER SOUTH INDIAN STATE...KARNATAKA ...
EVEN IN WB CONGRESSS WILL ONLY GAIN A LITTLE WITH MAMTA AND WILL BE UNABLE TO UPROOT THE COMMUNIST RULE THERE .
EVEN AT NATIONAL LEVEL ALL THE 3FRONTS ARE LIKELY TO GET NEAR ENOUG EQUAL AND IT WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT FOR ANYONE TO FORM GOVERNMENT .IF SOMEONE DOES FORM IT WILL FALL WITHIN A VERY SHORT TIME .
