At that point of time they did not fight for separate nation but for equal rights. Only after Black July riots in 1983 which claimed lives of more than 1000 innocent Tamils, terrorist organization started to gain popularity among Tamil youth's. Genesis of LTTE and similar other outfits can be primarily attributed to the gross injustice of the Srilankan government to Tamils and their "ONLY Sinhala" propaganda. In India equal rights to all citizens is guaranteed through constitution, and political parties are interested in providing more provisions for the minority people. Whereas in Srilanka the government systematically and steadily took measures to suppress minorities. For instance tamil students has to get more mark than Sinhala student to get a place in university. They were also denied opportunity in government jobs. Many basic rights were denied to Tamils. So as long as such social injustice exits, new terrorist organizations would come up with different strategies and would continue to exist without any end. Now both Tamils and Sinhalese are tired of war, all they want is a peaceful environment to live. So devolution of power and providing equal rights and opportunities to all citizens can only ensure durable peace in the island nation

Not only Chidambaram all congress and its allay should lose there deposit. TamilNadu should me branded as Congress free state.
TN goes to poll to-day. Srilanka govt declares that all would be over in 48 hours in Tamil Eelam. So, they have waited for better poll results in TN. Now you infer - who conducts war over there.
India needs a strong nationalist party BJP to govern India. Our international relations are at all time low. This country is surrounded by enemies. Pakistan, Bangladesh, China. Relations with Srilanka and Nepal have taken U turn now. Our strongest ally Russia is keen to gel with China then us. All we have is business relations with USA (in favour of USA) and thats it. MMS government is feeling proud of Nuclear deal and ignoring everything else. The situation inside the country is worst than even. Maoist and ULFA in north-east, Orissa, Karnataka, Nepal etc. J&K is bleeding as always. Terrorist strike all around the country. No No for congress thank you very much. Congress is complete failure in my view. BJP should be in otherwise this nation might reach at such a juncture that it will be all down hill there won't be any coming back.

Did you know that on the day of the Mumbai train blasts, the Government gave Rs 150 crores for earthquake relief in Pakistan ? Last year our Govt. has given Rs 3000 crores (600 Million Dollars) to Afghanistan? This, when victims of terror in India have not yet got aid? What's going on? B) Is this Government really secular ?
1) When Madrasas are being shut down in Pakistan, the Indian Government is giving them CBSE status !! It is depriving Muslim children in getting secular education. A Madrasa educated person can get a job in any government office without going through the secular education system. Can India afford to have fundamentalists in government departments? Why cannot the government shut down Madrassas and let Muslim children study with the rest?
