Mani Shankar Aiyar is a true Brahmin
by Bharat Soni on May 13, 2009 12:31 AM  | Hide replies

Mani Shankar Aiyar is a true Brahmin with golden heart. He will retain the seat with good margin over others. People of mayiladuthurai are very fond of Mani and he is the only leader who cares for all the people of this constituency.

Mani Shanker Aiyar is only true Cngressman
in the real ense of the term -ie the original Congress people of 1970s & 1l80s who were trying to do good for the pweople. Because he is very intelligent & honest, Sonia could not tolerate keeping him in good Ministries, even though he was more sncere tio Rajiv & his family. He was not like MMS to say Yes, Yes to stick on to Power. This time, even if he wins, he will not get Ministerial berth.

Good lord. Sorry to note that you all are still driven so much by caste based politics and sentiments, even being one of the better educated states of India. Only this thing is getting TN distanced from the rest of India. While other southern states like Karnataka/ AP/ Kerala are are part of mainstream Indian sentiments, this caste based drividian theories and sentiments are holding TN back. I hope you understand my point and do not get angry and shout. Passion is good but wrongly guided passion hurts in long term.

BSP candidates
by kumar on May 12, 2009 10:20 PM  | Hide replies

Do BSP candidates know the language of the region where they campaign. For example, does this guy know Tamil to speak to the people of that region or does he speak in English? They won't understand English.

YARDSTICK FOR DETERMINING RICHNESS IN SC,ST
by sameer bharucha on May 12, 2009 09:52 PM  | Hide replies

NOW A DAYS SC,ST'S HAS BECOME RICH COMMUNITY, AFTER THEIR RETIREMENT FROM GOVT SERVICE, BECAUSE OF BIG MONEY IN GOVT SERVICE, THEY ARE JOINING IN BSP.
IS THIS PEOPLE ARE REALLY POOR?BECAUSE OF SC,ST QUOTA THEY ARE ENJOYING EVENTHOUGH THEY ARE RICH.
I APPEAL TO SUPREME COURT BALAKRISHNAN,TO MAKE YARDSTICK FOR qUOTA, OTHERWISE RICHER PEOPLE FROM SC,ST ARE ONLY ENJOYING AT THE COST OF POOR.
ONCE ONE GENERATION HAS COME UP IN SC,ST , THESE SC,ST QUOTA THEY SHOULD NOT CLAIM.
SET INCOME YARDSTICK FOR SC,ST, OTHERWISE RICH WILL ENJOY, POOR WILL BE WATCHING.
I APPEAL TO SCOURT TO ENACT RULE IN THIS.
