Mayawati is right in approaching the Apex Court because true justice can only be expected from the Hon`ble Supreme Court. The only element of uncertainty is that Varun Gandhi has already received extraordinarily soft and favourable treatment, inspite of very serious, potential dangerous crimes of hate speeches. Every murderer/rapist-murderer/ rapist /robber and thief would surely appreciate a similar treatment of giving undertakings of good behaviour hence forward. In fact, our prisons would go empty if criminals are treated so kindly. Mayawati is doing something or is atleast going through the motions. So, support her.

Vaun has not committed any crime except shooting his mouth off.
Compared to that, Mayawati, Laloo and Mulayam are virtually heading the biggest c r i m i n a l organizations in the country. They are the ones who should be behind the bars.

Any body can approach to SC but she also knows that she is not right. She has education in law and fully aware of her defeat but doesnot want to accept. Ok, people will make her accept. Jananta Janardan is more powerful .

Even assuming that Varun was at fault, he was jailed also for this and he has also said that he did not say what he is supposed to hv said. Lot of politicians say so many things every day and nothing happens to them. So why single out Varun only for the worst possible treatment?

When high cort has given a verdict that there is no ground to suport NSA for Varun, still she feels herself above Law. I wonder Varun did nothing against National Security but if you see Raj Thakare who did lot of physical damage to property, human life and peaceful co-existance of north indians in Maharashtra. Due to him, about one lakh north indians have to flee for their life and a law-mockery drama was staged by Congress to show arrest and leave him with in few minutes. What a double standard of congress at two places: UP and Maharashtra for appeasing Raj Thakere for marathi manus and Muslim vote bank in UP. It is shameful. Be aware, public is watching all these and show you, your place by ballot.

Have you gone out of Maharashtra any time and specially to North ? Do you know that the number of Maharashtrians live in Varanashi and how many live at Kanpur since 1857 or so ? First of all be Indian and think like Indian rather than MUMBAIKARS or Talegaonkers who have not seen this country beyond Karjat / Kasara and Talegaon. Do you know why Shakaracharya made 4 dhams at 4 corners of this country ? It was with an intention to open up minds of people when they travel and explore this great Nation. If you explore this Nation, you would undestand what Raj Thakare did was wrong under religion, under consdtitution art 14, 15, 16 saying that no discremination based on cast creed, religion, and placec of origin. I understand Raj is not above the constitution of this country. He should go and meet all those Maharashtrians who have been in north for more than 300 years celebrating Ganapati puja and have no problem there by their northy neighbours . That is India and Maha- India. Just saying Maha- Rashtra, your Maharashtra doesnot become Maha ( great) you have to behave too.

What Varun had committed was a very serious crime which must be punished. His hate speeches could have caused communal riots, arson, killings and a deeper Hindu-Muslim divide; and surely being remembered even today, those venomous words would still cause serious harm to this country, in the days ahead. The Hon`ble Supreme Court let Varun off very lightly by asking him to give an undertaking that he will not repeat the same crime of hate speeches. Will this not be a precedent for treating all future criminals/culprits of any community giving such hate speeches? If this is fair and reasonable, then why not apply the same rule to murderers, rapist-murderers, rapists, robbers, kidnappers et all? Is this why we have the IPC and various other laws in this country? Is this right merely because the riots, killings or arson etc. have not actually taken place or reported? When will there be PUNISHMENT and EXEMPLARY, DETERRENT PUNISHMENT for serious crimes in this country? Mayawati needs to be congratulated and supported by the entire nation. Unfortunately, the final outcome is almost a foredrawn conclusion, and that is that Varun Will not be punished. Has any person or authority found out whether the hate speech CD of Varun was genuine? Was it not his voice? How can these basic things be forgotten or overlooked?

Have you heard what Varun spoke? You should feel ashamed saying this B*sh*t without having no knwledge about it.
It was never a hate speech.There were strong words in his speech, but politicians like Lalu, Mulayam, Amar Singh speak much stronger words in their speeches. And even Rajiv Gandhi had used some strong words in his speech where he attacked his opponents like VP Singh etc.
The NSA on Varun has no meaning as it never resulted into anything.

Dear deshpande, Why there are two distinctly clear behaviour of Govt : one with Varun Gandhi who only spoke something may be flammable speach and the other Raj thakere who not only vomited venom against north Indians but also disrupted govt procedure of sellection of railway employees at Kalyan and then beated thousands of north indians just because they were working in Maharashtra. What a drama of arrest was staged with after show of MNS with sweets and Patakha !! Because of Raj Thakere, about one lakh people have to flee from Maharashtra, due to that all petty job works were pending for months such as : work of construction, even ironing, and all day to day support of workers got totally parallized. What the same Govt did ? Only making mockery of law by arresting him and leaving him in a minute. Should we have TWO RULES in the same country , one for VARUN AND ANOTHER FOR RAJ THAKERY for the sake of vote banks ?
Till Feb BSP and SP were the top 2 parties in UP elections, and BJP in 3rd slot & Congress in 4th.
BSPs main rival is SP Congress group.
BSP and BJP conspired together to defeat SP and Congress.
The Varun Gandhis episode is the result of this.
Thru this spectacular fight between Mayavati and Varun, Maya made sure that the Mulsims votes shift from SP and Congress to BSP, and upper caste Hindu votes shift from Congress to BJP.
In this election, the top 2 parties are BSP and BJP.
SP has been pushed to the 3rd slot, and Congress remains in 4th slot.
This is the final consequence of the BSP-BJP game-plan.
