NDA (Namard Demonic Alliance) will probably remain united as evil forces always stays united to fight against good. But Good and righteous will prevail over evil forces in the end and so NDA will eventually bite the dust. Demon LK Advani is the leader of that alliance and we can imagine the force of darkness in their side. We celebrate Holi as it is the most auspicious time for spiritual cleansing symbolising the victory of good over evil. As Hindus, let’s not disappoint our ancestors by turning our heads towards darkness and save our motherland from evil forces. Think preoperly when you caste your vote.

anybody truthful to their heart and with a mind will know that anybody is better than congress in India. Then again muslims don't fall under that category

as they say, there is a time and a place for everything. a decent life for all indians is not in the vicinity of the current time or place. so the great indian tamasha goes on.
From Maharathi to Dusht Atithi, all live their own merry ways.
It is all about Sabhapati, Udyogpati and Karodpati.
Jai Jawan Jai Kisan died with Shastri. That was the turning point.

you say this now, after everything is done?
dont worry, nobody listens even if you shout yourself hoarse, they just open their eyes when it hits, till then as usual, Ram-bharose, we are like this only.
Government must distribute rice or wheat at Rs 3 per kg per to poor because * Will have a CASCADING effect on remaining food items and will help in reducing the prices and inflation. * Will create DEMAND for agricultural products and will PREVENT farmers suicide. * Will prevent 350 million Indians STARVING every day for a 2nd meal.
Perhaps the best way out of this is to have fewer farmers. I mean, move them into industry. Farming is profitable only when it's done on a large scale (true of anything). Subsistence farming is inefficient and arguably the reason why many farmers are poor. Very few developed countries have agriculture as their main source of income. Animal husbandry tends to be more profitable than agriculture, for such nations. In most big nations, agri husbandry accounts for 5% of the population. For us, it's 80%, probably.
We're still stuck in that feudal mindset where land ownership is linked with social status, and that selling off one's land is unheard of. People themselves and society will benefit more if these people worked in factories. They'll earn more, and their kids will get a better education, and all that. The few farmers left can use large-scale agricultural techniques to improve production, as it's done in the developed world.
Finally, what's wrong with importing food? The key parameter here is balance of trade; if we export more than we import, it's all good. We don't produce much of the petroleum we consume, but we're ok paying the sheiks for that, aren't we? Why's food any different?
Malthusian theory works in India. With limited resources (land) and rising population, uncontrolled birthrate, the poor farmer will need land both to cultivate and house his family. Either way, the farmer is a boon and a bane in India.
Government have surely forgotten that not long back Agriculture was the backbone of Indian Economy- this is what has been taught to us in schools. Now that service sector generates more revenue to the ex-chqeuer y will the govt look after the poor farmers, since they don't hv to pay any Income tax and consume water & electricity for free. There is no need for the corporate sector to enter into agriculture as they will bring their bloody damn-s**t management theories and will make the life of farmers more difficult. Also there are these middlemen in the supply chain who buy farmers produce at a very lower cost and sell them in the market at high rates-either by creating artificial demand by holding back the goods or in the name of inflation though it does not affect the agriculture sector(has enyone wondered y prices of essential goods are sky-rocketting even thought the Inflation is well under 1 % for a long time now? ). And the poor farmer has no say in whatsoever decisions are taken by the govt nor he is well informed enough abt the conditions prevailing in the market.
