BJP has what right to talk about punishing terrorists?
by Thomas Mathew on May 12, 2009 02:10 AM  | Hide replies

The year 1989, the BJP supported National front is in power. Mufti Moh Sayeed's daughter gets kidnapped and the V P Singh government with full approval of then BJP president L K Advani releases 5 dreaded terrorists in Kashmir

Fast forward to 1999, L K Advani is home minister, an Indian Arilines plane is Hijacked, lands in Amritsar airport. Government of India does nothing inspite of a golden opportunity handed out by the pilot to keep the airplane in India. Consequence, the government releases 5 dreaded terrorists, feeds them Biryani and releases them with a huge amount of cash, sends the foreign minister to accompany them.

To add insult to injury, Advani and Co releases 5 Latvian Nationals and later Peter bleach, a British national, all convicted in the Purulia arms dropping case. The buzz is that Advani received millions from the Russian Mafia for this act of treson.

So now, look who's now talking about Afzal Guru!

Identify an Indian patriotism.
by Prasanna Thyamagondlu on May 12, 2009 01:34 AM

How do I define Indian Patriotism?

People who are Nationalistic, promote Vande Mataram, uniform civil code are BJP / RSS supporters & are termed saffron party / chaddis. The news media makes fun of them with no respect to their ideology. Indians trounce them in elections.
BJP compromised on many of its principles & prepared for unfair means to win elections but they are not as shrewd & experienced as their rival Congress, they will continue to fail.

Half the Indian common janatha / people are more glued to their fate, selfish motives, cricket, TV serials. They never cared to exercise their voting rights & concede the country to hands of Congress. Congress offers the country's fate to Sonia & Mr. Q.

MMS & Sonia must be laughing at their one billion puppets. MMS is the king on the chess board but is so powerless & queen rules the game.

MMS has lost his soul in the minority world as Gandhi & he is blind to miseries of the rest of the Indians.

How does it matter????
by Fried Yakov on May 12, 2009 12:25 AM  | Hide replies

MMS and his Congress party have told us in ways more than one that we deserve to be ridiculed and shortchanged. Kasab, now, has the chutzpah to laugh at 1.2 billion Indians. We are a country of people who refuse to vote for a change even after 5 years of horrendous governance, 5 years of outraging the modesty of India and Indians in every conceivable way. Still we refuse to stand up as one and vote for a change. We still refuse to cast to the dungeons those who directlly and indirectly support and perpetrate the actions of such terrorists. We refuse to take people who support such vermins to task. We refuse to destroy people who have worked to support such travesty of soverignity and civilised existence. The appalling apathy demonstrated by the Indian people in the ongoing national elections vindicates my stand. We are more concerned with our own microcosm or nanocosm, than our national well being. Then this is what WE DESERVE. To be laughed at by even the foot soldiers of j1had. This is the progress that MMS and C0ngress has given us.

Leaders come from the people. Only very few % of people know how to pick a right candidate and these people do not vote. The voting mass are innocent and vote for money, arrack and Biriyani. What kind of leaders due to expect from such masses.

Let us all accept one fact. India cannot be and will not change. Politicians will continue to exploit people on religion and caste.

Translating message of Indian politicians.
by Prashanth on May 11, 2009 11:57 PM  | Hide replies

==Terrorism is a menace that must be dealt with firmly.
Standard cliche that really means...do nothing.

==How long the procedure would take, it is not for me to say
Meaning: even if it takes 20-30 years, I don't really give a damn.

==no community should be targeted.
Meaning: No muslims should be targeted. Others we dont care.

Indian Parliament is SUPREME. Indian Supreme Court is SECONDARY.
by New York on May 11, 2009 11:38 PM  | Hide replies

Most Indians and some Supreme Court Judges and Parliament Members are CONFUSED or prejudiced.

Indian Parliament is SUPREME because they are ANSWERABLE and ACCOUNTABLE to 1,166,079,217 (July 2009 est.) Indian Citizens.
Supreme Court is SECONDARY, because they are ANSWERABLE only to the LITIGANTS.

Democratic Nations have the following setup.
PLAN - Parliament
DO - Administration EXECUTES as per PLAN
CHECK - Judiciary CORRECTS Administration (and NOT Parliament) as per PLAN

* Supreme Court should NOT create/review/refine/rewrite any LAW.
* Supreme Court should NOT solve your KASHMIR problem,
* Supreme Court should NOT decide your INCOME TAX rates,
* Supreme Court should NOT decide the CORRECT train fare rate in India.

Parliament decides the SALARIES of Supreme Court Judges.
Supreme Court Judges do NOT decide the SALARIES of Parliament Members.

At present, RAM JETHMALANI and PRANAB MUKHERJEE in India are EXPERTS in interpreting the PRACTICAL applications of Indian Constitution.

We judge others by their deeds not empty words
by kedem kemorah on May 11, 2009 11:19 PM  | Hide replies

One of the oft repeated television advertisements by the Congress presents a man declaring — “Na main Hindu hoon, na main Mussalman, na Sikh, na Ishai, main ek Bhartiya hoon (neither am I a Hindu, nor a Muslim, nor a Sikh nor a Christian. I am an Indian).” Does this mean a religious Eendu, a devout Mos$lim, a pious $ikh or churchgoing Khristian cannot be a proud Indian too? Does it also mean that to be a true Indian you have to be an atheist or a man without religion? Why does the Congress think there is a difference between a true Indian and a religious Indian? In that case the red vermillion pastes that Mrs SG and Rahul publicly sport on their foreheads and Manmohan’s widely publicized visits to gurdwaras all efforts to fool the Indian public? Aren't all sickular persons hypocrites? Any further proofs required?

Dr. Singh is the pride of this world
by Sirisha K on May 11, 2009 11:14 PM  | Hide replies

Dr.Manmohan Singh is the only leader who could lead our country in this time of global crisis. Thw whole world appreciated his effort at the last UN meet and agreed to all the trade concerns he brought up. The last thing we want at this time is to have ignorant and corrupt leaders. Our PrimeMinister MMS should be allowed to continue his good work for few more years. We are already the fastest developing country in the world and am sure MMS will make sure that India gets rid of peverty asap.

compare srilankan tamil issue to kashmir
by Sam Paul on May 11, 2009 10:43 PM  | Hide replies

Kashmir Issue:
Where people have all rights as any common indian citizen and even more rights (muslim law and no one except kashmire can buy land in kashmir). But, with pakistan backing, some people are asking for homeland because they have muslim majority.

Srilankan Tamil Issue:
Srilankan tamils don't have equal rights as any sinhalese. They protested to get equal rights in gandhiyan way initially and after amry started killing and raping tamils, they took weapon to defend themselves. They need either equal rights to live in srilanka or a seperate homeland.

compare srilankan tamil issue to bangaladesh
by Sam Paul on May 11, 2009 10:43 PM  | Hide replies

Bangaladesh Issue:
In east pakistan where bangaladeshis are majority didn't had equal rights as other citizens in pakistan. So, they protested and took weapons to defend themselves. India helped them secure a homeland for bangaladeshis. India still have lots of bangaladeshi refugees and they live here happy without any restriction.

Srilankan Tamil Issue:
Srilankan issue is very similar to bangaladeshi issue. Only difference is India don't want to help them. Instead they give weapons to srilankan army to kill tamils in srilanka. Srilankan tamil refugees are restricted to live freely in india and they are in the camp.

listen to what Sri Sri Ravishankar said about India's stand on finishing off LTTE, after his visit to Srilanks. Why this double standards practised by our govt, one riule for Bangladesh and another for Srilankan Tamils? I hate this govt and this Congress party.. never trust them.
