Mamata's mistake

In Bengal, everybody knows that after the election left front will be supporting the congress govt. After all, they will have more seats than TMC.Just when the election in the congress area was over,Rahul Gandhi announced that they need the left front(so that the minorities would vote for left now).Congress is the most opportunistic party in India.Same way he wanted to ditch Lalu,Paswan,Karunanidhi.Jaya,Maya,Naidu,Nitish should start hiding their winnable candidates immediately;otherwise the long black hand will grab them.

Who will check conversions by luring poor
by anjaneya on May 09, 2009 07:06 PM  | Hide replies

After Kerala TN Orissa missionaries aggressive in AP and Karnataka
Alarming 5 fold increase in Kandhamal Christian population from six per cent in 1971 to 27 per cent in 2001 ,It began with the arrival of Christian missionaries in the area who found the remote region very conducive to conduct prosetylization amongst the poor tribals. The conversions continued unhindered until the arrival of Swami Laxmanananda who put strenuous efforts to stop conversions and help reconversion to Hinduism as well. If not for his effort Kandhamal would have been another Nagaland in the making where the separatist movement has wrecked havoc in the state.
The aggressive Christian proselytization in Orissa today pitched previously peaceful tribals into warring camps of Christians and non-Christian. This has has vitiated the peace that has existed with various communities for millenia.
Why Orissa
Orissa has been specially targeted because of a huge tribal population. This allows the missionaries to work from the scrutiny of the media and carry our their nefarious activities.
In Kandhamal district, for instance, the Christian population has increased from six per cent in 1971 to 27 per cent in 2001, despite a law enacted by the Orissa Legislature in 1967 to prevent conversion by allurement, coercion, bribery and cheating.

Hinduism is a covert mask for Casteism which intrinsically seeds HATRED in your Children (e.g.Varun Gandhi).
Hinduism is a hierarchical (and not groups) based irrational system of keeping one CASTE (Brahmins?) over everyone else.

In America there is no system in place today that forces people to remain separate or keeps one class subservient to another.
If you were born the son of a street sweeper, but excelled, you could become a doctor or lawyer or some celebrity or entrepreneur - and at the same time you would be fully accepted by your peers.

Not so in India. The caste system freezes everyone in place. It is extremely difficult - almost impossible - for someone from the lowest caste to rise in education and social status.

A Dalit would never be allowed to marry into one of the higher castes and would never be accepted as an equal.
And for a Dalit to make it into MEDICAL school or opening a RESTAURANT or become a PRIEST in a temple or become a member of high SOCIETY in India is very rare indeed.
Only by escaping from the grasp of Hinduism do they have much of a chance.

And India is the nation of around 5000 such castes aka hierarchical communities where 99.99% marriages are still held within caste.
The SOLUTION is you must only vote for candidate from your CASTE **TILL** 85% of all registered marriages in India are INTER-CASTE.

If I were the Prime Minister of India, I would AMEND Constitution accordingly.

In Hinduism gods are only for a higher cost community and there are count less number of gods including cine actors and actresses. They have no justification for the worship. Their god only accept the offer from a particular community. They does not work they only live on the hard earnings of others in the name of god. Try to treat other humenbeings also equal. Hindu gods still wants and maintains untouchability. The gods does not tolerate a harijan women wearing good dress and entering temple. Go out and help the poor and needy and work for their uplift like the machineries doing instead of crying that conversion is going on. People are not fools now a days. They are watching the hindu leaders like anjaneya and their behaviour. Your belief should reflect in your actions.

Look how they removed Lotus from Kendriya Vidyalaya symbol
by S S on May 09, 2009 05:07 PM  | Hide replies

Very soon all signs of Hinduism Ashok chakra Lotus may vanish In a move that touches the pit’s bottom, UPA has changed the emblem of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan from Lotus and shining Sun to Cross and Crescent. And this has been done in the name of “broader reflection of national ethos.” Board of Governors of KVS in its 79th meeting held on 26.6.2008 approved the new logo and a circular was sent to all offices and schools of the Sangathan on July 17, 2008, to change the emblem in all the publications and communications. Though the chairman of KVS, HRD Minister Arjun Singh did not attend the meeting, the minutes of the meeting stated that the emblem has been approved by the chairman. His deputy Shri Md Ali Ashraf Fatmi, Minister of State, HRD & Deputy Chairman, was also not present at the meeting. circular issued by the Asst. Commissioner (Acad I), KVS, said “in order to give a broader reflection of national ethos and ought (sic) to be inclusive of challenges, opportunities, rationalistic, scientific and global thinking, advances in science & technology & social changes taking place in the society” (sic) the new emblem has been created. The picture shows a book with blank pages, and apparently two human forms emerging from globe. The crescent (an Islamic symbol) and two crosses and stars (Christian) are obvious. UPA govt released coins of Rs 2 denomination with cross on them. There is move to change our national motto ‘Satyameva Jayate’

BJP’s Development Vision for transforming India..
by S S on May 09, 2009 03:40 PM  | Hide replies

* BJP talks about India development, Media taks about Rahul's Kurta & Priynaka's Saree.

* BJP talks about IT vision, Media & Congress talks about Babri, Varun, Godhra, Kandhar.

* BJP assures nation to bring back black money, Media talks about Rahul's smile.

* BJP talks about fighting terrorism, Media & Congress talks about muslim appeasment.

* BJP invited Dr. ManMohan for a live TV debate. Instead of debating on development & India's future vision, Dr. Singh called a press conference & talked about Kandhar & Babri. What a shame Dr. ManMohan.

I have seen three press conferences by Shri Advani when he released IT vision document, Infrastructure vision document, Swiss accounts Task Force report to bring back black money, but our so called secular media gave no coverage to these issues. They are only interested in non-sense issues like Rahul's Kurta & Priyanka's saree.

Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media
by balaji on May 09, 2009 03:31 PM  | Hide replies

Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddi has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

CM also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants

These are the things which are already given to farmers in congress ruled states. Extending the same is not a news for the media. So they have not shown any interest and also projecting more will bring out only the failures of Yeddruppa.

BJPs Magical Novel schme for needy what did congee do in 60yr
by Lopesh S on May 09, 2009 03:30 PM  | Hide replies

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP govt in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.

Under the scheme, the state govt buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.
Kanyadhan Yojna: state gives Rs 7,500 for poor families during the time of a girl's marriage, and
Janani Suraksha Yojna: state provides all economic & health support to a pregnant woman till the time of delivery.
This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress

plea to Congress/Secular party Pls do not divide nation further
by palani murugan on May 09, 2009 02:58 PM

On religion language north-south basis
Latest in the series of controversies centred on the Congress party’s fixation with Muslim grievances is the data collection exercise involving the Indian Armed Forces.
It is irrelevant and mischievous to mention about caste-based divisions in the Army during the British rule.
Congress leaders not only divided the country politically but also militarily. The military officers and men of pre-independence India , belonging to all communities fought the WWII together under the British.

Pakistan got a ready-made army at its birth. When Indian Muslims got Pakistan they also got a Muslim army carved out of the undivided Indian Army. This army produced Pakistani generals and officers who fought wars with India — the first full scale war being in 1965. This is history in living memory.

The Congress party having divided and ruled the country for decades is continuing with its dangerous game and monstrous thinking of doing a head count for the Army now.

Bias against BJP
by durga on May 09, 2009 02:53 PM  | Hide replies

There is a certain bias in the media against the BJP.

The Punjab problem was a creation of the Congress when they propped up Bhindranwale to cut the Shiromani Akali Dal to size. The Kashmir problem was created by the Congress and the NC when they rigged the 1987 elections. One of the candidates who lost due to rigging went on to become Syed Salauddin of the Hizbul Mujahiddeen.

Despite all this, the Congress party point fingers at the BJP.
Kailasa and Manasarovar were handed over to China while Thinvida region was given to Bangladesh by the Congress during their rule

Please wait, Indian media will to go to the extent of saying that all the problems cited above are the creation of Varun Gandhi.

When all the parties are riddled with flaws, why Indian media is partisan?

side-stabbing
by R S on May 09, 2009 02:51 PM

Indian politicians have come up with a new side-stabbing technique as back stabbing (allies) is not possible during elections. side-stabbing seems to be ideal when you are not sure your current allies (when contesting elections) don't seem to be winning more than the non-allies.
