If so is the case, India should not interfere with Taliban's invasion in Pakistan or Afghanistan.It's their problem to manage, why the hell India pokes it's nose into that always quelling US to make action against neighbor.
The UN commision can go to SL and access the situation in a neutral manner.Then everyone will come to know the exact situtation in SL.So pls avoid giving wrong information in this article.Don't hurt the tamils by your message.
many tamilains want the same story to happen in lanka issue. But this situation is entirely diferent.
In 1971,the bangladesh (called east pakistan that time) 1) had internal war like condition. 2)most important, the refugrees started floding in India.. 3) Very very important..the east pakistan army started fighting/war with india.
In lanka case, point 1& 2 to certain extent are true. But what is making difference is the third point..Till date, there is no single case reported about the war between Indian and lankan army.
I agree, tamilians in lanka are in a sorry state..but there is no way we can help them. Now about politicians. the blind man and hippo are talking about tamil cause. Both of them have enjoyed everything ( just ask how much money they made using 3G spectrum bid)..Last 5 yrs, they kept mum but sice the election are due, the they atre doing drama and showing crocodile tears

India can help in only one way. try to keep pressure on SL gov to avoid civillian casualities.ensure a fair system in place for the tamil ethnicity after the war within the framework of SL constitution.
any talk of military intervention is foolish and the people talking about it should look back at the IPKF episode in which we ended up fighting a meaning less war against the LTTE supported by SL administration.
To those who wants Sri lanks, Nepal, Bhutan, etc to be our states.
We can't even manage what we have got now. Only mentally retardants of last grade can have imperialistic ambitions. See US how they are stuck in Iraq despite being the most powerful country in the world.
And I have seen many assh**** justifying sending army to Sri Lank because India had in the past participated in the Bangladesh war and sent a peace keeping mission to Lanka.
The Bangladesh war was prompted by influx of millions of refugees into India as a result of increasing Pakistani atrocities over there. Despite repeated warnings ground realities didn't change and we were needlessly faced with a humanitarian crisis of which we had nothing to do. That prompted the war.
Regarding Rajeev's decision to send IPKF, it was insane and bit him the most. No sane thinking Indian would be proud of it.
Our immediate concerns should be to alleviate our billions to levels where they can get their 2 meals and provide education to their offspring's.
People serving chauvinistic aspirations should remember that our top priorities should be helping ourselves (be a indian gujrati, indian bengali or a indian tamil) and first.
We can not entertain a military solution simply because this simply is not our war. If we are to fight any one we should be fighting those paki nutcases who have killed host of Indians including Tamils in a string of bomb attacks.
Dear collegues, I request you all those not belongs to Tamil Nadu. Please don't put ur comments on this forum without having enough knowledge about this issue. Some of your comments are really hurting the Tamils. For example one person is saying don't expect a foot of land when you are out of India. This guy is thinking that Srilankan Tamils are migrated from India.

yes 99% of jokers in INdia, outside TN think that the Tamils in SL migrated from India. They do not know that tamils are the original people of SL for the last 6000 years. even assuming they are migrants, is not a Tamil President in Singapore from 1999? is not a TAmil/ UP origin Ramgoolam/ Veerasami rule Mauritius? with only 5% Tamils, that too immigrants, Tamil is official language in Spore/ Malaysia. but though Tamils are 30% and are in SL for the last 6000 years., they have no rights? how is this? the whole world is against SL Tamils. why? why US supports Kosovo when proclaimed independence? why UN supported Eritrea and Tmor which got independence from Ethiopia and Indonesia? why different rule for SL Tamils?

ppl like karuna and jaya only worry about tamils in other countires (like creating eelam or seprate contries) but they never look at the condition of poor ppl in their states so best solution is that send these people over there instead of sending the ARMY when these people will understand INDIA instead of region and religion

Why not Vaiko,nedumaran,varatharajan,nallakannu and pandian?Amma is raising concerns for the tamils now to gain the innocent tamil people votes in the coming election.nothing other than that.
