Security of the South. Its better to have Tamil Eelam as a friendly neighbour than have Lanka as an hostile nation in our southern borders. The Sinhalese are helping the chinese to build a chinese navy port on their land. The chinese have almost completed their ring of pearl around India, while Delhi slept. This is a reminder of what happen 1000 years ago, when hostile Northern nations and tribes build their ring of fire around Bharat while the people of the North slept. The rest is now history. The South will have to be dumb to allow this ring of pearl to encircle the South. Having Eelam as a buffer, that will give us space between the hostile Singalese and the South is a viable option. Its better to have friendly neighbour we can take the piss at, and they can take the piss at us, and have a laugh- than having a hostile Singalese nation at our door step. I back the creation of Eelam for the good of the South.

you are right ... separate country for srilankan tamils is good for their safety ... if not atleast we need to give them the peace by demanding equal rights for tamils in srilanka ...
