Prasadji, u are 1000% correct; but Sir, till 1966-when Nehruji and Sastriji ruled, there was no corruption. And Nehruji modernized India- Steel mills- Dams- He did lot. unfortunately his Socialist policy spoiled the country; the principal is NOT wrong. but he failed to judge people; The PSUs became corrupt useless bodies; the Govt offices also became useless corrupt organizations.
Madam, very great neta, spoiled the country totally. She glorified corruption. made every thing unreachable to common man; THE color TV was 12000 in 1982. ( today 4000). u have to wait for 12 years to get a scooter/ phone. madam thoroughly spoiled this nation. RAjiv was not bad. PV N Rao and M Mohanji did improve this country. let us give devilits due. yes COngress is involved in lot many scams. but SP/BSP/AdMK/DMK are no better.
the real sufferer is u and me.
MM S is the best choice now.lesser of the evils so to say. Adwani will lead the country to partition.

CONG PIPS BJP AT THE POST ?
by damodaran mohan on May 11, 2009 02:07 PM

…yet another hung Parliament for sure but people do not seem to be worried even a bit…. confident all will be fine post the results on the 16th …it will take ..2-3 days of 24x7 of .live TV analysis by experts with live pictures beaming into our living rooms ….of ambassador cars fly past.... to and forth between Rashtrapai Bhavan…and… Sprawling Bunglows in Lutyins Delhi ferrying glum faces ...grim looking leaders in huddle in groups... meetings …behind doors…. .turn the invisible wheels of POWER slowly but surely. End result ? ... an Octogenarian seen fulfilling his lifetime ambition… or will it be a Dalit lady awash in the glow of glittering diamonds…or .. a … Maratha …or just a plain looking SIKH yet again..or will we see some Congress Drama suddenly propelling Rahul ....! But will things be as simple .. or ….will also see some fierce debate among legal luminaries on desirability of calling Pre-Poll or Post Poll allies ? It does look simple with Cong. expected to pip BJP at the Post in a close finish. and 3RD FRONT beaking. However if BJP secures more seats and Cong does badly then the complications start if BJP fails to secure numbers and ironically the conditions favor formation of 3rd front govt. with Cong . support. Likely Party positions ? CONG: 155-160, BJP 153-158, UPA:185, NDA:200,4TH FRONT :35, 3RD FRONT : 123. Pick your PM.

BJP ===== BACKWARD JANATA PARTY
by udayraj on May 11, 2009 02:04 PM  | Hide replies

Whatever his conclusions may, the clear verdict for both Congress & BJP on standalone single party & not with alliance basis will be such:-
CONGRESS ===== 147 SEATS
BJP ========== 99 SEATS
BOTH THE FIGURES ARE SUBJECT TO STATISTICAL ERROR OF MAXIMUM 5% UPWARDS.

SHIJIKUMAR THANKAPPAN
Re: Re: BJP ===== BACKWARD JANATA PARTY
by SHIJIKUMAR THANKAPPAN on May 14, 2009 09:59 AM
As revealed in 2008, Rs 70 lakh crores of money from India is lying in Swiss bank accounts. Even though the German
Govt. is ready to reveal the details of account holders, the Govt. is least bothered to ask for it.On the day of the Mumbai train blasts, the present Govt. gave Rs 150 crores for earthquake relief in Pakistan. In 2008, the Govt. has given Rs 3000 crores to Afghanistan for nfrastructure development. Developing our own country’s infrastructure did not cross our Govt.’s mind! According to the Comptroller & Auditor General’s report in their official website, Rs 87153.12 crores are missing from Universal service fund, Infrastructure development fund and money allocated for centrally sponsored schemes. What has the Govt. done with people money?In the Rs 10,000 crore medium-range surface-to-air missiles (MRSAM) deal with Israel, the Govt. has suspiciously agreed to pay 6% as ‘business charges’ which comes to a whopping Rs. 600 crore.According to Defense experts, this is simply inflated and illegitimate.
When Madrasas are being shut down in Pakistan, the Indian Govt. is giving them CBSE status!! Is it not discouraging Muslim children in getting secular education? Andhra Pradesh Govt. under the directions from Central Govt. has closed down 28000 temples out of 36000 in the last five years.Our Government has given 25 lakh scholarships ONLY to minority students. What sin have the majority done not to deserve these? Why cannot poor students of all communities be given?

see it is the irony that no political party talks about RASTRA. All of them fight elections based upon petty regional issues.Among all these parties i feel BJP only shows some light as there are people within the part who have capability to think and envision the future roadmap of our nation. Congress is a party of Gandhis (soniya,rahul etc etc) and nobody within the part dares to contradict them.

BJP never divide people based on caste; like Congress, RJD, BSP and SP parties do for vote bank politics.
BJP is for equal rights for every Indian citizen, no appeasement.

HI,

I like to add BJP is a basically a Kshatriya and Vaishya party and many Kshatriyas come under the backward and most backward category . so i dont understand the logic of so called upper caste party when upper caste constitute just 10 % . 50% of the population of India are hardcore hindus and they are all the so called kshatriya castes and if BJP represent them it represents the Majority in India , so what is wrong in that.

all politicians will run after Sonia on 17thMay all self centered
by redeeff on May 11, 2009 12:28 PM

its my assumption.
as its a human tendency to opt for a maruti than to another brand,its same in case of politicians too to opt for a party which has proved track of stability.
none has a principle.

Hung Parliament and the PRESIDENT
by Rajesh Vyas on May 11, 2009 11:20 AM

It will be interesting to see a HOW A CONGRESS appointed PRESIDENT discharges her constitutional obligations. Will she be favouring the party that made her the PRESIDENT or will she be objective and follow the convention. Pratibha Patil is in for her toughest political assignment.

Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media
by gomateswara on May 11, 2009 09:54 AM  | Hide replies

Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddi has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

CM also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants
Hindus should wake up before getting extinct by the so called secular crooks
