Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP govt in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state. Under the scheme, the state govt buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.
The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.
The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level. The Kanyadhan Yojna: state gives Rs 7,500 for poor families @ time of a girl's marriage, The Janani Suraksha Yojna: economic & health support to a pregnant woman till the time of delivery This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP.

the concept came from central scheme.mp has gone ahead.well done.
This is an old article being still continued to fan up bloggers' passions to comment upon. However as i had said earlier our Great Secular Scriptures called Caonstitution is full of contradictions to imply yes or no for the same thing. By extrapolation i think the Constitution also permits us to import a foreigner for PM's job. Perhaps present MAHA Mess will warrant a solution like that. I may sound cynical but long back one of our ex-Presidents had asked for dumping this constitution and forming a Nationa Govt. Are we headed for that? Mr. Sudhindra Kulkarni on aprobing from an anchor has willy nilly hinted at that. But the arrogant Congress and the Left, the Left who are always ant-national, dissented. This proves the BJP mindset is rooted in nationalism.

I think it may be allowed in the near future through an act of Parliament that like IPL 4 foreigners out of 11 could be appointed as Ministers. Also sponsorship of various Ministeries could be sought from big companies like Vodaphone, LG, or Star Plus etc for looking after the financial requirements of the country and the Ministers. Last but not the least like in IPL Satta may be arranged on similar lines as for Runs scored on each ball for people of India to rise above poverty line.
She might invite congress even if they win zero seats! That is the impression people of India have about her. The criterion for becoming the president was to be loyal to the Gandi family
It is not polite to say this, but our constitution is basically a cut-and-paste job that was done in an era when there were no computers. As a result we have a voluminous book, which is self-contradictory in several matters, and full of holes on fundamental issues like government formation.
The country is looted by successsive governments over the years. While the policians and corrupt businessmen have stuffed their pockets with billions of dollars in swiss banks, poor farmers across the country are commiting suicide due to increas in poverty. We need a 3rd front.
