Regional Parties
by SHYAMAL SENGUPTA on Aug 03, 2009 08:13 AM

At the end of the day, CPM is a regional party and majority of them are goons. Only a handful of them are good but they are so few and far between that it is better dumped till some one with better common sense than Prakash Karat comes to the fore front.

Can he honestly claim that they are nothing but a regional party?

Congress awake
by Govind Lal on May 07, 2009 10:58 AM

MMS is ignorant about the Indian politics. Let him read on Indian politics for the last forty years. Starting with Annadurai. The Congress was rooted out from Tamil Nadu. A congress PM is telling the country that regional parties are not trustworthy or something else. He should read history and interpolate /learn that Congress will be a regioal party very soon. Look at the way congress is ruling this country. Look at the method of selection of party posts and ministerial posts. For the last 10 -15 years Christians are given a priority for key posts. I am not against Christians/minority
. But from the way AICC Office is arranged I am compelled to speak some unpalatable truth. Does it means that Hindus are not capable to look after the working of Congress. Or congress lost all confidence in Hindus. Or they only want Hindus to make mass rallies. Not to hold any responsibilities. The congress leadership should understand that Hindus are patient. But time will come when they awake from sleep. Congress should watch out.

Sardar Patel
Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media
by Sardar Patel on May 06, 2009 09:59 AM

Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddi has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

CM also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants
Hindus should wake up before getting extinct by the so called secular crooks
MMS persides and Sonia/Rahul Decides – this is mockery of Indian DemoCrazy

BJPs Novel scheme – What did CPM do in 60 years
by gomateswara on May 06, 2009 09:48 AM

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP govt in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state. Under the scheme, the state govt buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.
The Kanyadhan Yojna: state gives Rs 7,500 for poor families @ time of a girl's marriage,
The Janani Suraksha Yojna: economic & health support to a pregnant woman till the time of delivery
This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP.

CPI-M slams PM's statement on regional parties
by rajhoo rajhoovenkatesh on May 06, 2009 08:13 AM

are the regional parties of any use to the country.in tamilnadu there are over 90 parties.except for a dozen or so the others exist only on paper.the remaining have aleader and a few followers.during election times these small frys earn their bounty.capitalising on the ignorance of the masses the regional parties have made the state their own, live like lords and ladiesand loot anything that catches their fancy.even well to do people are forced to surrender their properties.we see this in films were goondas do all this but in real life the local politicians do all this.regional parties think that the region belong to them.marxists need the support of these parties because these regional parties and the marxist will align withany party just to grab a few seats.they have no nationalinterest.regional parties do not serve national interestbut only their own agenda.
