BJPs Novel scheme – What did congress do in 60 years
by akilandeswari on May 06, 2009 10:19 AM  | Hide replies

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP govt in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state. Under the scheme, the state govt buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.
The Kanyadhan Yojna: state gives Rs 7,500 for poor families @ time of a girl's marriage,
The Janani Suraksha Yojna: economic & health support to a pregnant woman till the time of delivery
This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP

boss,
We indians are very good at reactions .But when it comes to actions we are Zero.
After 26/11 a big mass came on to the roads to abuse politicians with candles in their hands. That was their reaction to 26/11 .but when it came to actions 50% voting was recorded in Mumbai. No body came out to vote.
Some excuse that there is no poitician so good to be voted. That time they forget about 49-o.
Hence we can see the present condition of our country.I believe in dharmendra's words that india needs a dictator who can take tough decisions for 5-10 yrs. Then only india's dream to become a superpower be fulfilled.
Then only people will understand the meaning of democracy and the importance of voting.

We the people of india ourselves are responsible for the condition of current india.

Mr.Aftab you felt happy by reading some comments about RSS,VHP & Muthalik. Do you have any comments about the deaths of Kashmiri Hindus in Kashmir killed brutally by Muslms in the name of Religion and Terrorism.Do you have any Positive words about the bomb blasts in India killing innocent women and children in the name of Religion.

Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media
by Sardar Patel on May 06, 2009 10:06 AM  | Hide replies

Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddi has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

CM also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants

No where I've said that communal riots never happened in K'taka befor BJP's regime. The first communal violence as far as i remember happened way back when L.K Advani came to B'lore for the first time & gave a hate speech about Urdu news being aired on Doordarshan. So basically, the foundation of communal riots in K'taka was laid by BJP. My point is against the inaction by the Govt. against people who try 2 take the lives of others for granted in the name of Moral policing or Hindutva or whatever u call it.
I am not supporting Congress or anyone (for the one's who r comparing my statements with the Congress regime.) Women being beaten up mercilessly was one of the most horrifying scenes after the 26/11 I saw on T.V. People who were responsible behind that attack r now some of the most influential & strong people. Don't believe me, then read Pramod Mutalik's recent statements anywhere. He should've been behind the bars & his sene banned, but instead they r propagating there venom everywhere else, thanks to the inaction by the state Govt.

I do respect Yeddy for some of the decisions he has taken, but he & other BJP leaders need to take a serious note on the Communal issues. People of Karnataka trusted him to bring BJP into power for the first time in K'taka. If BJP starts respectig the lives of people of all beliefs & religions, then I don't think there will b any better party in India. I don't c any leaders like Arun Jaitley, Arun Shorey, Jaswant Singh or Yeddyurappa for tha sake in Cong. or any other party. These r the types of leaders who can take India places, but first the party needs to look into its policies & start respecting all the lives, all religions & people of all beliefs.

Some other achievements of Yeddyurappa:
1.Hindu-Muslim communal Riots in K'taka within 1 month Of Yeddyurappa's appointment as C.M, no action taken against anyone as yet.
2.Attack on Churches & many Christian bodies in B'lore & other places, again, no action taken against anyone.
3.Girls being attacked ruthlessly at a Pub in Mangalore in the name of Hindutva & the C.M comes out & says," We'll put an end to Pub culture".
4.Load shedding in most part of Karnataka including B'lore.
5.People's hard earned money distributed to Math's & swami's saying they play a big role in the development of the society(really???)
All the steps u said r only on paper, there is no real implementation as yet.

Mr.Nadeem,Do you say there was no Hindu-Muslim riots before BJP? Only difference is Congress govts failed to check it. They took action only when H1ndus reacted to riots. Till then they would sleep. But BJP have been proactive in this regard.
Load shedding in B'lore is far less than previous seasons. I do'nt know about Karnataka. But I do'nt know when the situation was any better during COngress rule.
Money has been given to even Churches and Mosques even though govt receives revenue only from temples. NOt your hard earned money.

You mean he does not treat all equally? So you accept that preferential treatement and appeasement is always there. Is religion not personal matter. Why should he rake sentiments by taking name of each religion? It is only to hide their failures of 60 years in all the departments of devolopment.
