Loosing ground
by rg v on May 06, 2009 03:06 PM  | Hide replies

Two national parties BJP and INC are loosing soil under their feet. Both are depend on their allies, which are unreliable regional parties, who can betray them at any moment. Left parties are regional parties in Kerala and Bengal. In gujarat, BJP under Modi is also behaving as a regional party.
BJP or INC doing nothing to grow up in main states. Instead, they're make friendships with the regional parties. Gradually they will weaken further and it may lead to the political anarchy of India.
If Rahul or Sonia or Modi are so strong leaders as portrayed by different medias, let them recover their lost grounds in big states like UP,MP, Maharashtra, TN etc.

What nonsensical analysis.
Guj / MP / C ' garh / Raj / Delhi / K'taka / HP / U'khand essentially all 2 PARTY CONTESTS. Tell me how many states does BJP control?
Modi is a national figure today, he is in demand from all BJP party units.
This is a reality start accepting it. And dont compare the INC morons with the BJP.

All anti-raul vinci messages were mysteriously reported abuse and removed. While pro-congress posts remain.

This is nothing less than the gobblesian type propaganda by congi and its stooges i.e, english language media.

as i said in my earlier posts(which were deleted) that these people (sheel butt, this moderator, rediff editor, et al) are the journalistic-pr0st1tutes. They are selling themselves and the future o fteh country to the fake gandhi mafia clan!!!

rahul
by Umesh Sharma on May 06, 2009 02:53 PM  | Hide replies

after seeing the oft repeated press conf of rahul by ndtv, it appears that manmohan singh is on the way out, as usual congis are keeping the throne ready for rahul, what is amusing is that when he says 10 p of 1 re only reaches poor, he blames everyone else but his clan, fact remains is the topsy tury development is due to congis only, look states like up bihar which hv produced prime ministers are the richest in minerals but the poorest economicaly, rahul baba was tutored and the press too doctored in questions and answers.
he said nda is finished and on his fingers he counted wb/haryana/tn/assam every time , so for rahul baba india is only these states, he forgets that congis will be thrashed in these polls. unfortunately the press conference and priyankas interview by barha are real eye sores they hv bn repeated so many times , it is like ndtv is official tv network promoting cong. wud love to see his face on the 16th, ofcourse he will be ready with doctored answers, even if they lose they will hoist him on, a very unfortunate part of our system in india

India needs a competitive media channel against NDTV to counter-balance.

Polarisation
by Manjula A on May 06, 2009 02:53 PM

Polarisation in Indian Politics will definitely occur, but the prediction by the author will not come true. In fact, in the long term, all fair skinned politicians are going to be in one block. That means Congress, BJP etc. will be on the same side. The other side will have the Indian parties, right now being mistakenly called regional parties, probably headed by Mayawati.

Mockery of a Democracy
by Asim Mehtani on May 06, 2009 02:15 PM  | Hide replies

Any party fighting the elections will either win or loose. The loosing party will have to sit in the opposition, which is quite natural. Everyone knows it. But the way Ms.Sheela Bhatt is advocating, that if BJP looses, then it will be setback to Modi, and in case Congress looses, then it will not be setback to Rahul, because he is not accountable, and will not be punished, cleary shows the mockery of the democracy. There lies the difference. Yes it is a fact, that if Congress will loose, then there will be no punishment to Rahul Gandhi, but if it wins, then he will take the credit. Congress is a one man show right from the beginning without any accountability. On the other hand, Modi's credibility is on peak, therefore, if BJP looses, naturally, his credibility will decline. Modi is more in sticky wicket then Rahul. Despite of this fact, Modi doesnot care about this drawback. He knows very well, that win, and loose are the part of the life, and if one does not know the taste of defeat, then he or she is not at all entitled to win. On the other hand, if Congress wins or loose, then in both conditions, always there will be a silver spoon on Rahul's mouth.

That is such a sorry state of media and democracy in India. Rahul is as useless as ever but this so-called yuvraj is still getting all the positive attention from the media for doing absolutely nothing. I have no idea why this media fancies this retard gandhi so much.

The Dynasty
by Guest on May 06, 2009 02:12 PM  | Hide replies

If any one is to blame for the perpetuation of dynastic rule in India, it is the spineless Congress leaders who bent over backwards to lick the boots of any and all members of the Gandhi family that have to be blamed and not the Gandhi's themselves. They are getting a free ride and enjoying it like any one else would have done in their place.

What is the basis qualification to duplicate gandhi varun, other than just 'gandhi' in name to get a BJP ticket ? Vajpayee, not married or Uma not married, that is not congress's fault. Kid of Mahajan is giggling with monica or Payal, that is also not Congress;'s proble. How can you restric one leader's son come in politics, or else can you say that BJP has no dynasty (good word) politics

Before Rahul comes to power.
by Tamilnesan on May 06, 2009 02:11 PM  | Hide replies

Before Rahul comes to power.

Before Rahul comes to power or when Rahul is sitting in the opposition benches, he should use this time to carefully build his stature-image.

1. He should build a relationship with the masses-general public by speaking about the local issues directly related to the people like issues in PDS, roads, condition of public transport system, customer service offered by Govt servants, treatment of general public by Gov servants-police etc. He should raise this
2. Occasionally he should visit houses of ordinary people to learn how middle class people live in India. This will also help to establish a rapport with people.
3. He should speak of security concerns of people.
4. He should voice against illegal businesses(eg- adulteration in medicene etc)
5. He should speak of issues affecting farmers, peasants.Take part in their demonstrations or meetings.
6. Visit as many villages and support village living lifestyle.
7. Voice against foreign banks harassing ordinary people.
8. Host a talk show or appear in a TV show frequently to communicate to people.
9. Make friends and establish direct rapport with his own party men in all states.

If he works in this direction success surely awaits him, which will make him a popular leader. Once he becomes a popular leader he will be the choice leader of the country. Once he wins with a thumping majority he can do lot of good things for the country.Strong nation needs a strong leader with strong mandate
