builder lobby
by b r on May 05, 2009 12:11 AM  | Hide replies

builder lobby was supported in a big way by present govt. they jacked up prices by 500% in four years

according to cnbc aawaz report, 35,000 crores a year in black money are generated by builder lobby in mumbai and delhi alone.

so conservatively 1 lac crores was generated in UPA time. how much of it has gone to the coffers of concerned politicians?

at least 33% share.

so govt should check on this first.

let ppl send feedback on website of PM and President.

give both parties the rope but follow-up things thoroughly
by Raghavendra Bhat on May 04, 2009 07:18 PM

The Apex Court has granted time to both parties, this reflects the fairness and equity of our justice system. Now the Supreme Court of our land just need track this suit and conclude it to the benefit of the common taxpayer of this land. The UPA Govt. now accuses the petitioners as BJP/NDA men, people out of power like the Leftists and the NDA/BJP will change tack once they see the ramparts of the LallQilla on the horizon. It looks as if all political entities are equally to blame for the pathetic mess we are in, only the strong influence and water-tight directions of the Apex Court would help us move forward. It is well nigh impossible to make the political parties work in getting back the stashed away coins otherwise.

The truth about BJ Pee lies
by RamuKaka on May 04, 2009 03:02 PM  | Hide replies

Re. the Black money in Swiss Accounts, here are some facts that reveal the BJP lies. It also clearly shows how they cheat Indians, including you, me and everybody.

Nilotpal Basu of CPI(M) has categorically mentioned that they (Comrades) had raised this issue long back during NDA regime, when Advani himself was the Home Min, Modi the CM of Gujarat and Vajpayee the PM. Then they BJ Pee and NDA and Advani, Modi, Vajpayee, their Fin. Min. etc DID NOTHING at all towards this end.

This is mentioned in the JPC (Jt. Parliamentary Comm. Report) as well. Even recently Prakash Karat had raised this issue from where this was Hi-jacked by the clever, shrewd BJ Pee leaders and they are trying to blame Congress now.

They think people’s memory is too short, but they are mistaken by this.

During NDA regime, Comrades had also raised the Double Tax Avoidance Treaty (Mauritius Route) matter. BJ Pee and their nationalist “very much concerned” leaders had earlier ignored this matter and later conveniently pushed it under the carpet.
May be sometime soon they will discover this as well and start shouting and blame Congress for this.

How can these people take name of Ram and do such things, even at such ripe old age of 85, all for the sake of power and Chair, even at this ripe old age.

It is really very disgusting.
How much lie they will try to force down the throats and minds of innocent gullible Indians, who finds it hard to believe that such old people can tell such lies.

Black money issue...................
by narayanswamy nagarajan on May 04, 2009 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

The BJP is showing its card in highlighting the "black money" issue right now as alomost every businessman, government employee and people holding public offices. 100% politicians, most professionals like doctors, builders, etc.are invloved in it and will make every effort to thwart them from forming a government and sabotage their efforts.
Black money is the single most deep routed malady of this country. Mere superflouos surgical measures will not solve this deep routed problem and may provide temporary relief before the hydra-headed monster once again raises its head.
The astronomical amount in foreign banks (in forex) drained out of this country and hoarded for decades abroad or locally hoarded (in gunny sacks!)generally in big and mostly (to be safe) in lower denominations currency notes is like the proverbial "frankinstein" perpetually loooming over he country since 70s.
If BJP comes to power (I sincerely hope they do) do they have the guts (at top government level) not only take strict legal measures at top level with foreign countries to disclose the secret wealth stashed in swiss banks, but quietly demonetise the entire currency system. Only a government with no stake in the accumulation of "black money" can decisively act. The effort is going to involve lot of planning, bring our entire (massive) banking industry into it with a well designed plan to eliminate 90% of cash dealings in every day life, ban cash transaction of more than Rs.1000 and see where it leads

Our administration still follows old british legacy of ultra responsibility of political and beureocratic heads.Unless the common chain which links both political and beurocratic heads cut off, political heads cant go forwrd freely against corruption.Once a politician take charge of a ministry,he will be traped by the notorious IAS-IPS lobbies and cant never escaped from their clout.

In my opinion, more than politicians,IAS-IPS officers, business magnets,MNC officials will be the major "black money" holders.

Bring the money back first.....
by Bharat Vasi on May 04, 2009 02:22 PM

I am more interested in the money being brought back to India and invested in our country.
If the government wishes to come up with an amnesty then, it is their headache.
Advani's exposure and Gurumurthy's explanation that IT IS THE CAPITAL WHICH IS BEING PARKED OUT IN THESE HAVENS is horrifying. I know about other countries where usually the money is TAX EVASION only.
Congress has yet again duped us all. If they claim to have known about all this then why did they put up that WEAK show denying Advani in the first place.
Congress is actually involved in these crimes.

Who will Bell the Cat.
The Govt.says they have been after foreign banks for information on funds kept with them by Indians since 2008.What stops them giving detailed information to the Apex Court-even if it is for accounts with a German Bank.It is the
Swiss Banks which holds 90%of the accounts and
they are not mentioned.Had the Americans not pressurised the Swiss Banks to come out with details NO one would have dared to raise the
subject in India.Even the Super Citizens do not
touck even0.000001% of the volume involved.
The odds are heavily in favour of those who have stashed away trillions and the legal tangles will ensure that nothing comes to India
At least the people have a RIGHT TO KNOW how much they are deprived of by unscrupulous persons.
Is the Government giving time to VVVVV IPs to
destroy evidence or transfer their funds to some other forms.

Every government is corrupt. No government did anything better than the present one. What did they do when they were serving their term. Now because of insecurity they want to bring down the current government. All parties are cheats.
