The Congress achievements
by Prasad Vemparala on May 04, 2009 11:22 AM  | Hide replies

India looks pathetic in tne comity of Nations. 1. A small conuntry like SriLanka ignores the appeals of India to stop the human tragedy of Tamilians. 2. It bullies India with the active support of China and Pakistan. 3. It welcomed Pakistan Cricket team to play on its soil when India said 'no ' to Pak.'s team soon after 26/11 4. The only Hindu country in the world to declare itself as 'Hindu Country ' was actively supported by India to change it to so called 'Secular State ' ,yet the 'maoist ' who are waging war against India in many states have bluntly ridicules India by dismissing its pro-India Army Chief . 5. US ,in spite India being most Democratic and Secualr ,often supports Pak. by supplying arms and huge amount of money. .6It was India in 60s and 70 s which actively supported China's place in UN in spite of western powers opposition but now China is a bottle -neck in India becoming a 'permanent member of UN Security Council. 7. The country which was liberated by India sacrificing its soldiers is now a threat to India itself in its Eastern Borders. Indian " Foreign Policy " has failed and India should see the writigs on wall before it is too late.
Now let Mr ingh answer what Congress has done to this country.

Hi
BJP was in power for 5 years. Did they do anything to reverse any of the above policies. AMong the alternatives Congress is the 'least' worst.
You are lucky that in this time of recession, India has Dr. Singh as the PM. Many economists today comment that India has handles recession better than US

Who said BJP was in power. It was NDA. Give them full majority and then ask questions. Congress as a single party has been the majority for years. Coalitions make it very difficult, especially when the opposition is more focussed on bringing the govt down that thinking about the country.

That is ridiculous. Sri Lanka ignoring the calls to peace is not something to be celebrated. It has also ignored calls by other nations more powerful than India. They see themselves as victorious but history will judge their acts as barbaric. Every newspaper in the world reports sri lankan victory as accompanied by a great human tragedy.
India supporting Pak by arms and money is another ridiculous point. What are you talking about here?
Bangladesh being liberated by India was not to gain control over bangladesh but to deal a blow to Pakistan - which it successfully did. Our restraint in not interfering in another nation's politics is remarkable.
In the last five years, India has been punching way above its weight in foreign policy. The Nuke deal with the US has legitimized India in the world and has opened the door for western nations to trust us in ways they did not before. US support of pakistan was a result of its cold-war policy and was short lived. Its ties with India have more weight because it is ideological in recognizing our democratic values. Who lead this movement?

Congress party is the root cause of all problems
by JGN on May 04, 2009 11:19 AM  | Hide replies

Babjri Masjid issued was a creation of Congress Party itself. The then PM, Rajiv Gandhi opened the gates of the disputed structure to the Hiindus for worship in the wake of Shah Bano Case (which in any case did not help the Musliims). Mr. L.K. Advani and Mr. Syed Sahabuddin (I do not know whether he is still alive) saw opportunity in the same. Both exploited the same to the fullest extent. The Congress party did not gain from that in any way. This incident helped BJP to increase the number of MPs in the subsequent election. And the rest, as the saying goes, is History.

There are 67 acres of land under dispute. That is enough for building a dozen masjids and mandirs each. Why the Politicians or Re1igious leaders are not interested in solving the problem?

Still better make some Hospitals or Educational institutions in its place so that it is useful to all, irrespective of Re1igion.

I fully agree with Dr. Singh that Mr Advani is an irresponsible person and at the same time I would like to add that he also a lair in Kandahar terrorist case, he said he was not aware that a terrorist was released from jail and sent to Kandahar when he was Home Minister, Is it possible a Home Minister was not informed or he was not trusted by Priminister of that time Mr Vajapaye.

Have you heard the story about five blind men who when asked how an elephant looked replied like this- four of them who had felt one of the legs each replied that the animal was like a pillar. The other who had felt only the trunk replied that an elephant was like a fat serpent. The same is the case with the C0ngress leaders including MMS. Because they themselves are inept, incompetent, inefficient and corrupt sycophants and ant1-nati0nalists, to them it seems that all opposition politicians are like them. They will never understand the nat1onalism of the BJP
