Is Politics is a Service or a Profession?
by harbinger on Mar 30, 2009 02:47 PM  | Hide replies

Is the intention of Politicians is to earn money and give nothing to people?

If it is really a service. Will the politicians surrender their wealth for the welfare of the people?

Why there is a family politics in India?

Why they don't want to leave and find another profession?

Will some one bring this point consistently in Election Debates?

Will the politicians turn to common man way of living?

Why is their a lavish life style for MP and MLA's. 10 acre lawn posh bunglow, while people suffer of a small piece of land?

Can they come an live in a slum of a small house?

Has anyone challenged them for common man life style?

If there is a law, which states that after winning the election you need to surrender your wealth and live in a small house. will all the politicians accept?

Please Please Please someone has to bring these points.

We created these laws and lets rewrite for the sake of people.

lets this money minded people leave and give way for the true leaders.

Help people. Help Democracy. Help India.

Let this not does not end. Lets start this campaign.

Politicians' waelth is unlimited
by mallaiah anchoori on Mar 30, 2009 01:50 PM  | Hide replies

In these days of power politics, every politician enters into politics only to make sufficient money and if possible tries his/her best to stick on to the position only to milch the people to the extent possible.Gone are the days where people entered politics with selfless motives just to serve the people. Communist Party had a rich history of the past where the real leaders of the party sacrificed even their personal properties. But now, there is a big departure from the ideals & ideology. What the politicians declared as their income is only tip of the ice berg;factually the wealth amassed by the politicians is unlimited.Yes,in a way it is correctly said-poorer the people, richer the leader/ politician. This stems out of a naked fact that if the people are poor, the promises that could be made as allurements to the people would be several providing a big handle for the prospects of their win the elections & for subsequent looting of the people for the sin of electing him.

by Nandakumar rajagopal on Mar 30, 2009 01:37 PM

in Tamilnadu present Cm had a debt of 75lakhs out of his film production venture. But recently his family trust donated 10 crores. His sons with no known income are now the masters of their domain with stinking level of wealth. Cms nephew who was also aminister for industries now have a family legacy worth more than 1800 crores. If there were to be a law asking for the source of funds for the properties and business done by the family.

Recession-free job-II
by VILAS P on Mar 30, 2009 12:56 PM

Recently, I saw a picture, where in Pranab Mukherji was campaigning in his constituency in a jeep & half-naked children & people are running after the jeep.Leaders like this Mukherji have got elected for so many times & enjoyed the power , money & status for life time, have not done anything for their own people, who elected & allowed them to enjoy. Only some chelas/chamachas got benefited with these selfish leaders.

How can a leader, who was from a lower middle class agriculture family, can become a “billionaire” in 30-40 years, that too without tilling the field & with the salaries & perks given during their terms. An industrialist, yes, we can agree. He puts his own & borrowed money & struggles to establish. This is one example.
Every state, every district, every talluka, every village has the same story, because public are bothered about their own stomach. We are the culprit, because we allow them to eat as much as they want. Have we ever asked them for their accountability? Never, we don’t want to ask them, because, we are much worried about our own stomach, our own job, our own family problems, etc. We talk only when the election comes. We don’t ask these candidates, when they come for begging our votes. We don’t ask their commitment to their places & we don’t ask their achievements. In my view, each one of us should ask their commitments & their achievements after their selction for every 3-months, in their entire term.

Recession-free job
by VILAS P on Mar 30, 2009 12:55 PM

Following are the permanent job holders in either Lokasabha or in their respective Vidhanasabha. I am mentioning a few, but there may be many more from every corner of India.
No Organisation (Private / public / Government) can assure you such a permanent job. They are not at all affected by Recession, Inflation, Loss to the organization, etc., they have NO regular office timings, NO regular works, NO targets & NO reporting. You need not commit anybody, while contesting for any election. Only qualification is to some how make the surrounding people get afraid of you. Do some non-sense politics & get the seat & win.
To name some permanent job holders………
1.      Gandhi/Nehru FAMILY for Generations-time, not only one life-time.
2.      Devegowda & family, continuing for Generations…………
3.      Mallikarjun Kharge
4.      Dharam Singh (Failed ONLY this time)
5.      R V Deshpande (Failed ONLY this time), trying for next gen
6.      Bangarappa & family, continuing for Generations…………
7.      Yedyurappa & family (with a new entrant, his son)
8.      The Great Laloo Prasad Yadav & family & and so on……………….!!!!!!!!
Now-a-days the trend in politics is people like above are establishing their own dynasty & their predecessor should be from their own family, like in olden days’ kingdoms. The only difference is Kings were ruling their own kingdom, these are ruling the entire country with the help of other kings, in the name of “Co-alliation”.Recently, I saw a picture, where in Pranab

THIS IS NOT THE ONLY TRUTH
by Don Kernash on Mar 30, 2009 12:53 PM  | Hide replies

1. 20% (USD 230 billion) of the economy is held by the top 25 Billionaires.

2. Another 20% (USD 230 billion) is held by ultra rich high class clan of CEOs, MDs, self governing investers etc.

3. 40% of the economy (USD 550 Billion) is lying in the swiss bank accounts of these currupt Netas.

4. Remaining 20% (i.e USD 230 billion) is distributed among the rest of 1.19 billion people. i.e per capita of USD 201 or Rs 10,200 / year.

Now see, how much middle class people like us face.

STOP YOUR EXPLOITATION, VOTE OUT CURRUPTION and ITALIAN LED FORCE i.e MAFIA of UPA

Ask for ACCOUNTABILITY of the Candidates otherwise through Chappa
by VILAS P on Mar 30, 2009 12:46 PM  | Hide replies

We need accountability of the elected persons, to answer all your questions.
Can you help me? You just ask one question to your candidates, who come for begging the vote to YOU, that is "What are his/her committments & targets for the next 5-years to his/her constituency? And you need the reports of the same every quarter ? "
Can you please convey this to your local people & spread the same across country?
You should ask this, where these candidates are holding public speeches, on the same dias.

Income of MLA/MP's on the rise
by Vishvas Rao on Mar 30, 2009 12:29 PM  | Hide replies

If this meteoric rise is not legitimate, what are our Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate authorities doing? I have seen salaried people get notices saying that you have paid 700 Rs lesser tax than what you should have. If there is so much of money that is being shown, why arent the authorities questioning? Is it that they are hand in glove with the politicians?
