WHO IS A COMMUNAL ?
by alok sinha on Mar 30, 2009 10:40 PM

Well friends I am just expressing my own opinion and this may sound right to some and wrong to some as well - for long I have pondered that who should be called a communal - the one who proclaims I am a Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian and the custodian of the same or the ones who proclaim that I will favour only one particular sect or religion and I am the sole custodian of the sect or religion that I am favouring ?
Are not the ones who favour any particular religion or sect and in the process divide the society communal ? To me taking unjust side of any community on a religious basis(when the ultimate aim is to garner vote bank)qualifies a person or a party or a group to be called communal. I am sorry if I offend some but can't we see and call the following parties communal based on their leanings and opportunism - BJP for Hindu agenda, Congress for Muslim agenda, Samajwadi party for Muslim agenda. If BJP favours and fights for Hindus then Congress, Samajwadi Party and RJD etc. too do the same for Muslims and in turn all these divide the society and then we also have the parties like BSP, DMK etc whose leanings are well known. In my opinion If I am a Hindu and taking the side of Hindus only and create a rift between Hidus and other religions, I should be called a COMMUNAL and further if I am a Hindu and favour only Muslims and fight for them only and in the process create a rift with others then in that case too I should be called a COMMUNAL What say friends ?

Why such type of double standard?

POTA Vs. NSA
by sagar ganguli on Mar 30, 2009 10:38 PM

POTA was repealed by the UPA because it was abused against Muslims. Now NSA is being abused against a young man who calls himself a proud Hindu. When will NSA be repealed. Can MMS answer?

Mulayam says slapping of NSA on Varun ''wrong''
by sanath on Mar 30, 2009 10:33 PM  | Hide replies

Lucknow: Terming the invoking of the NSA against Varun Gandhi as "wrong", Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday alleged that the stringent Act has been used to settle political scores.

"The framing of charges under NSA against Varun Gandhi is completely wrong. In fact, National Security Act has always been used to settle political scores... Why did the police fail to arrest Varun and his supporters before the roadshow," Yadav told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.
