Congress doesn't have the guts to project a young PM
by shyam on Mar 30, 2009 11:59 AM

With all due respects to those who keep pointing out the goof ups of the Congress, I have only one question. Has the BJP projected a young PM designate? When you do not have the guts to do so, why point fingures at some one else?
Mr. Naidu, please remember that if you point 1 fingure at somebody, there are 3 pointing at you. I am not saying that the Congress party is above reproach, but then how are you any better? In my opinion, we should set a maximum age limit for folks to contest the elections. Only then can we at least hope to get a performer in the true sense.

What did Advani accomplish for India, except that he demolished BABRI MASJID?
MMS personal accomplishment is inking NUCLEAR DEAL with Nuclear Suppliers Group.

Nuclear deal is a sell out, here's how:
Quote
"The Times of India reported One Week ago that the Obama administration has blocked transfer of technology for the engines supplied by GE to the Indian Navy for the stealth frigate program. They have cited policy change issues. Now, the engines are in India, we have paid for it, but the Navy cannot install it as the technology is temporarily banned by the Obama administration."
Un Quote:
If they can delay technology for engines for a battle ships, what guarantees they will ensure smooth supply of uranium, technology etc. This agreement is a sell out coz the Americans want to control our foreign policy.
Incidently, when this report appeared in the times of India, there was another one which stated that Chief of Staff of the US Army on a visit to India had asked the government to reduce troop sin J & K.
If you want to be a fool, that is your problem, but dont expect others to swallow all nonsense.
THE NUCLEAR DEAL IS RISKY TO INDIA'S INDEPENDENT FOREIGN POLICY AND SECURITY.
Congress does not know what it is talking about.

How can you say that MMS is a great economist. He has put India on a backfoot by supporting reservations. Reservations are a threst to a develoing nation but MMS has openly supported that. Do not ever say that he is a great economist. India's inflation has hit an all time high under his regime and you still calling him great economist.

How is the reservation issue related to economy. MNC's and foreign investors are not so sensitive to such internal affairs and comply easily with the local laws. FYI affirmative actions are actively performed even in developed nations. Besides, coming back to economy, inflation and the downfall is a global phenomenon(USA being the key). And fortunately India has done fairly good job in resisting both the inflation and the later recession. Unfortunately both in India and US, recession is followed by major elections. The newly elected US govt. has no magic stick to wipe it instantly, and the dissolving Indian parliament also has no significant power left due to election's announcements (Interim budget by Pranab is not coincidently dumb, it had to be so due to legal restrictions, its interim). If nothing, UPA has atleast followed a protocol for not announcing PM candidate in advance, thats how Indian democracy is supposed to work, NDA seems to be unaware of it. Now, we have already seen the results of MMS policies since 1991 reforms. Can we have faith in 82 years old LKA for doing the magic? Lets see what India says.

Youth PM
by arungopal agarwal on Mar 30, 2009 10:52 AM

Yes PM must be less than 50, as the post requires sound body and mind, it requires lot of travelling, interaction with people and capacity to work for 16-20 hours.
But in the present lot, LKA must be given a chance, as in governance Congress and BJP are alike for a common man, MMS has already given whatever he has with him, now next man should contribute whatever he has with him. Till political reforms are brought in, change of guards in each election is a healthy sign for common public and country.
