Victory to UPA. Indians do not deserve better governance.
by Anand on Mar 29, 2009 03:09 PM  | Hide replies

We have seen the worst of governments ever to rule India. Let us see people's answer to this miserable mis-rule by UPA. I am sincerely hoping all educated people will exercise their franchise. Only then we say we have a functioning democracy. All communal foreign religions are very particular in participation in election so that the candidate recommended or supported by the parish priest is selected. This is how they get their men in power. Those who can control and influence the election result will be sought by the party. If congi is very supportive of the mullas it is because they can get the followers vote enblock as directed by the mullah. We should learn that and vote to kick out this bunch of bafoons. We are divided on many things but all the while the foreign believers are building their unity up.

Wishful thinking of a known BJP baiter
by Manjunath Srikantiah on Mar 29, 2009 02:43 PM

After having seen the UPA wither away and third front not taking off,the writer seems to be praying that BJP and its allies do not come to power.JD(U) has never hinted at a post poll breakaway, but our great writer seems to be putting words that JD(U) never hinted.Poor fellow, has no other credible job to do.

Wishful thinking Praful Bidwai
by My Opinion on Mar 29, 2009 02:34 PM

It's true that not of all us agree on anything unanimously, so though I differ in opnion with you (with due respect) I would also like to tell you that your article is nothing less than wishful thinking.
Everthing thing seems to be against congress at the moment but you go on painting rosy picture for it.Good imagination !

Analyze this !!
by siddharth kumar on Mar 29, 2009 12:07 PM  | Hide replies

North West : J&K , Punjab , Haryana , Himachal & Delhi i dont see significant change happening Haryana NDA will gain some which will be lost in Punjab more or less the same .
North central : UP , Rajasthan , Bihar , MP
Bihar NDA looking better and would gain 5-7 seats another 5-7 seats in UP will lose around 8 in Rajasthan and 5 in MP so again no change .
East & far east : WB Orrisa , NE
Asaam NDA gain around 5 which will be lost in orissa congress on other hand will gain around 20 seats ( 7-8 in orissa and 10- 12 in WB ) .
west : Maha , Gujrat
Maharashta will remain same as last time whereas Guj will see marginal increase for NDA ( 2-3 seats) .
South : AP , TN , Karnataka & kerala
AP congress is likely to lose 10 - 12 seats gain will be for TF , karnataka status quo will remain , TN AIADMK will gain around (15) Kerala - congress will gain around 10-12 seats .
Summarise : Congress will do slightly better ( 5-10 ) & BJP will retain their size . Allies : RJD, DMK will do worse TC will do better for congress , for NDA JDU will improve , akalis will reduce , Chautala will improve . AGP will do better .
Net : UPA & NDA will each have around 200 seats .
TF : Communists will lose around 30 seats most of which will go to offset the losses suffered by congress in Bihar and TN . NDA would do better than last elections and would be actually neck to neck with UPA ( both getting around 200 ) .
Amma , Maya , Mualayam & CBNaidu will play decider with 100 seats

seems quite close to reality and reality is frightening..

with talibans getting stronger in pakistan and chances of pakistan failing as a state and disintegrating, a strong centre is required..

what we see is a situation with no one in charge and central government dependent on people like amma, maya, mulayam, commies, chandrababu..

i have started getting nightmares..

indian situation will get closer to india of around 1100-1200 A.D. (prithviraj chauhan's time) when small kingdoms kept fighting among themselves and outsiders had a field day even with a small army, because no one was ready to sit down with a neighbouring king..
