Supporters of BJP and BSP clashed during a live TV programme here, leaving five persons injured, police said today.
The clash took place at Ram Manohar Lohia park during Star News programme "Kaun Banega Pradhanmantri", which was being aired live last night.
An FIR has been registered in the matter at Gomti Nagar police station by an injured person.
"The clash took place between supporters of BJP and BSP as soon as the debate started. Both the parties, it seems were prepared as their supporters were equipped with 'lathis' (sticks)," Bureau Chief, Star News, Pankaj Jha said.
said the channel would give a CD of the programme to the Election Commission for taking appropriate action.
Mayor Dinesh Sharma (BJP), SP leader Om Prakash Singh and Congress spokesman Akhilesh Pratap Singh were attending the programme.

well donr BJP.. i hope they used their lathis effectively. If not, then I wish they do in the next programme. all pseudoulars like BSP, SP and congress deserve this treatment.

Yes BJP is a communal Party. The build up communities. Congress breaks down the communities. It only builds vote bank. So lets get rid of all these commies, congis, SP, BSP RJD, LJP and other useless parties. The work on religious and caste votes.

A TV debate will expose the Con-party totally. Both the dumb doll Sonia and stupid MMS have no brains and cannot speak without reading from a paper. So during a Live debate all tehy will manage is to put people to sleep. Advani ahs really put the shivers into the con-party.

in any argument, Advani will win this, he by any means was the weakest home minister india ever had ... no other minister had the honour of getting the parliament house attacked, when he was inside it... what did he do ? when the militants hijacked the plane and landed in Amritsar ....we had our commandos, what did they do.. wont the home minister be responsible for it... he went and agreed to send the external affairs minister to escort the militants ;-) was he not the weakest home minister...? the pogrom that Gujrat govt ran in killing and raping 3000 innocent lives... what was he doing ? was he not the weakest home minister of India ? and did he not go to RSS HQ and asked for thier instructions on what needs to be done next, Vajpayee wanted Modi to go... apparently he was Dy PM what a shame and he now talks about terrorism and weakness... probably he is getting old, or the old fox has selective amnaesia... you can guess

they should try touching modi before election if they have the guts & you are right : no case so far filed against him anywhere. It is very easy to write against anybody since they are covering more than 80% of large print media. Since they claim to be the pillars of india's neutral judiciary, should have filed case against him! Do they think Gujaratis are dumbs to have elected him twice? He performs(.)
