It is getting rid of all smaller parties from its fold. The reason is, it want to fight the elections alone. they are in a win win situation, because after the elections anyways all the likeminded parties will come back and form a united front. now that orrisa too is fed up of bjp, congress got a bigger chance

u r right, bihar has a large a very huge chunk of mozlem population. last time jds won because people wanted a change, but they cheated by aligning with bjp. they did the same mistake what naidu did in south. forget seats jds will find its survival very difficult

PMK is already joined with AIADMK front, can't be surprise if DMK and Congress completed routed from TN. AIADMK will definitely go with BJP after the election, Jaya never accept Maya as PM, and vice versa. AIADMK (21) MDMK (4) Communist(3) PMK (5). This front except Communist will go with NDA (30) and will be the big head ache for NDA in next 5 years.
Can't be surprise if NCP associated with NDA after the poll. Most of the parties are against BJP since it is slowly emerging at National level, that is why state parties feared about BJP.
Unfortunately Congress is loosing its crediblity since they are not encouraging and not giving due respect to their state leaders. That is not good for the Congress and India.
BJP HAS NO BIG ALLY AND IT WILL NOT GET MUST SEATS. THIRD FRONT PARTIS WILL BE CRUCIAL AND AIADMK, TDP,BSP, JDS, JDU IS NOT GOING TO SUPPORT BJP, SO WHAT DO U THINK? THEY WILL LEAVE THE CHANCE IN UPA? NO ATLEAST AIADMK, TDP, JDU, JDS WILL SUPPORT UPA IN THE NAME OF SECULAR GOVT. FINALLY UPA WILL WIN.

Bhagat Singh was highly patriotic; he was a socialist and an atheist. At the young age of 23 he had profound understanding of how the downtrodden in India have been denied self respect. BJP should come to the power, but Cong should be emerge as second largest party. Loosing congress is not good for the India. As of now, Cong's major gain will be from Kerala, AP, MH, East India. Please note that not from Rajastan and Delhi(Shiela's development won in last election but not for Parliment). This time we can even some improvement in WB. Congress lost because of it is not trusting their state leaders, they always looking them as thread for Central position. Should change the attitude and emerge again at National level.
BJP's gain from GJ, MP, BH, KA, PJ, HR, CH, JK
Communist will be the big looser than any other party. They wouldn't get more than 20 seats.
Mulayam, Mayawathi and Communist should be removed from the count. Though Communist part has some good people in their party, they looks India as Province of China.

BJP plays to the biggest votebank, but somehow fails because Hindus (most of them) are sophisticated enough to reject the overtiures of the crude ideological(?) underpinnings of the religious party, the semi-literate and violent extremist parivar. Yet, the rump BJP holds is still a votebank.
