Worst government in a long time
by Impartial Observer on Mar 24, 2009 10:21 AM  | Hide replies

5 years of UPA have been one of worst years in last two decades. There has been no progress in any of the fields. The government had to "buy" MPs to stay in power. And now they have appointed a stooge as the Election Commisioner. Hopefully, people will show Congress the door, in a big way.

Selective amnesia - bias of the anti-Hindu electronic English med
by Lopesh S on Mar 24, 2009 08:13 AM  | Hide replies

Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddyurappa has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

The Chief Minister also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants. Overall

lets see how much helpful sending 1000 farmers will be, before that farmers should get seeds which is always tough to get during cultivation season. 750 crores to farmers, many others did that too and the question is how much will it reach to farmers. e tenderin seems unevitable so CM does not have any role there. reviving rivers, building lakes are commonly done by all CMs, nothing great about that.
Most irritating factor of this state govt is, there is no efficient leaders at all. For the first time in 20 years KSRTC is going into losses. Remember KSRTC was first to purchase most modern buses which comes to indian market.

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP government in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.

Under the scheme, the state government buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.

This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress

I live in karnataka. For the first time we have seen good roads around my area, permanent electricity connection, flood water drainage, scientifically made bus stops etc. From only news papers we know that some girls have been molested near my area, debate are being arranged in TV show. Ofcourse locals are surprised to see the lie.
How this pr-st-t-t- media behaves you can watch the airing of 17 places cut CD of Varun gandhi.
