Yes, the same one who claimed that there is a mole in PMO. Later, he was reported distributing ganja at a party in Rajasthan. This guy is incorrigible. He himself does not know what he speaks - too much ganja I think. Does he have ANY credibility?

Mr. Singh, he was the person who released a terrorists like Masud Azhar which claimed at least 1000 people from the day he released. Is this a good deal to save 200 lives we shold sacrifice 1000 lives. Gave them money & make our militry to look down.

Mr. Sharma,
Please explain that to the Congress who said on record that if any one of the hostages in the plane were harmed, they would protest.
And, the plane was hijacked from Nepal, taken to Amritsar for 15 minutes and then to Pakistan, Dubai before being brought to Afghanistan.
Please understand that it was not possible to carry out any operation in foreign land without having to accept the demands. Yes, it is unfortunate, but tell me why are other terrorists not being punished now atleast? Keep Kasab and Afzal Guru in prison, so that another hijacker can get them released?

the release is not questioned, it is the manner he was released. senior minister had to escort him where as police inspector could have escorted. THE MESSAGE CONVEYED BY ESCORTING THE RELEASE OF HARD CORE TERRORSIT BY A SENIOR MINISTER IS THAT A VVIP IS BEING RELEASED. IT IS LIKE HONOURING THE HARD CORE TERROSITS.

Dear Umashanker,
Now, we are debating properly. if you carefully read all the statements the Congress leaders make when ever terrorism is spoken and eve the statements made by certain people here, it shows that they are mocking the release.
Now, let us debate as to why Afzal Guru is kept like a guest? His files are yet to be sent to the President. Why? Does this not give a message that you can attack India ans stay alive as their guest?

Do you remember a PM from Congress party who accepted bribe to the tune of Rs 67 crore in suitcase by Harshad Mehta, the "tainted" face of our share market, way back in 1993. The dubious distinction goes to that PM who had to be in the court pleading guilty for accepting the bribe in "suitcase". and mind it, this suitcase was not meant for welfare of People of India. It was meant to siphon out same revered public money through our share market. This public money amounted to billions much more than crores. Certainly suitacses filled with money was taken by this gentleman you are referring to ( Jaswant Singh), but this was meant to save lives of about 300 people from influential families whose voices are heard in the power corridoors. But you should also remember the case of RUBIYA SAYEED, the sister of Mehbooba sayeed and daughter of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed. To save that single damsel from distress, all sorts of compromises were made. Now the same people are supported by the same bunch of people from Congress who always raised questions upon Jaswant sing who acted in real sense of welfare for people. Do any other party has this guts. Had they had this guts, people in Mumbai attack (26/11) would not have been killed. So before asking who is Jaswant Singh, please ask who is Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, P V Narsimha Rao, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, Mehbooba Sayeed and Rubiya Sayeed.

Those who weild power should be responsible , Jaswant Singhs point should be accepted.
No need to drag in any mention of professions though , that is unlike our culture .
Maybe the gentleman refers to the profession of politics as practiced in India , as all other professions , both horizontal and vertical , seem endowed with less power and attract heavier responsibilities than politics, imho .

Dr. Manmohan Singh is a visionary
by Sudha on Mar 24, 2009 08:22 PM  | Hide replies

We saw how India thrived in the last 5 years. More youths got a better paying jobs in the last 5 years than the entire history of this country. India survived the recessions and doing well compared many developed nations. Dr. MM Singh is a genious and only adopted the policies in the national interest.
Bright people in the BJP has been sidelined like Yeshwanth Sinha, Jaitley etc. able leaders were pushed to the state levels and only visionless people at the center.

partywise brains

Congress : Dr. Manmohan Singh, P Chidambaram, Pranab Mukerjee, Jyothi Sindhia, Ajay maken,Jairam Ramesh, Kapil Sibal, Manishakar Ayer, Jiapal Reddy, Shashi Taroor, Rahul Gandhi, Jindal, Sachin Pilot so many...

BJP : Arun Jaitley, Yeshwanth Sinha, Jeswanth Singh no young educated visionary leaders. Modi will be great if he becomes a centrist than Fanatic.

The real ball was set in motion way back in 98-99. The early 90's were a nightmare for a simple graduate. Congress should stop taking credit for the last 5 years and own up to its failures in the last 50 years.

Focus on the main issue, dude.

The secularists do not want the truth to come out.

Secularists conveniently downplay or misrepresent the cause of the 2002 riot. Not a few stones thrown on a procession or a petty quarrel or a temple bell interrupting the tranquility of the namaj, but the systematically carried out Godhra Carnage where three bogies of the Ahmedabad bound Sabarmati Express were set on fire by a Muslim mob, on 27th February, 2002, killing over 50 people, mostly women and children, mostly karsevaks, returning from Ayodhya.

Mr Modi tried his best to stop the riots.

India Today weekly in its issue dated 20 May 2002 clearly admits that, far from being anti-Muslim, the Gujarat police did not act speedily against Muslim fanatics and rioters, for fear of being called anti-Muslim by the biased and partisan media.

The reaction to the Godhra train carnage was overwhelming, and the state had limited resources. But to blame the Chief Minister or his administration for that would be as unjustified as to blame the Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh for the recent obvious sloppiness and intelligence failure that one saw during the recent Mumbai terrorist attack of Nov 2008. Yet, Mr Modi has been attacked so vigorously that even many Hindus feel that it is the truth and are probably shameful about Mr. Narendra Modi.

Contrast this with the Congress sposnsored anti Sikh riot in 1984.
