A shocking incident took place here in Zhob a few days ago when a woman (coming of a minority community) was murdered while she was walking along with her husband in a bazaar after 9 pm. She was accused of prostitution and became the victim of the merciless killers.
The incident happened after a campaign by a group of fanatics to purify society. Pamphlets had been distributed condemning the immoral business of CD shops, cosmetic and female shopping depots and overt prostitution by some members of the minority community.
The event is alarming and the first of its kind in this relatively Taliban-free area. Earlier, this type of extremism had been witnessed in the Taliban controlled areas of NWFP and FATA, but now it seems that the growing extremism has reached the most peaceful areas of northern Balochistan.

H1ndus are their own enemies. How can less than 20% minorities decide the fate of 80% people if they are united? We have now more "Jai chands" in our Country than Shivajis!!

From where did you get that rubbish of 1000 years? What was there before 1947? Even the frist Iron plough manufactured in India was in the year 1904. All the developement in our country came only after that.

There is going to be a quota system... XXX% for ... XXX% for .... XXX% for da..da..da.. etc... The Congress haven't tried to bring down the prices of very essential food items for the last 2 yrs and people have suffered (still suffering) too much. Rice ... Rs.32 Kg, Sugar Rs.24 Kg, Atta Rs.23 Kg, Dal/Chana/Peas etc... Rs.45-70 Kg... Didn't we were not eligible for right to food at reasonable rates during the last 4 years ???

Sunil Mittal & Wal Mart, the biggest organisation in world by revenue of US$ 378 Billion, are tying together for organised retail initiative under Bharti's leadership. This joint venture is going to produce 2 million jobs in organised retail compared to job loss of 40 million across India. So best of luck to Mr. Mittal & govts. who are obeying to large businessmen for creating more & more poor people. Why Indian Govt. is not publishing jobs data each month/ each quarter, like USA? Indian Govt. should have to publish, so that Indian people will understand what is better for them. In USA, there was recession in 1985. Walton, the CMD of Wal-Mart had launched the campaign of MADE IN USA. Both the Wal Mart & suppliers of WALMART are agreeing about the cost & price cutting. But, afterwards Walton bought goods from outside USA & labelled them as MADE IN USA for cheaper input costs. How much margin organised retailers get? 3%-Wall Mart & 1.5%-Pantaloon Retail. What are the impacts of organised retail chains on cities other than metros? Dr. MMS had implemented organised retail under the pressure of powerful economies. Decision of organised retail is not Manmohaneconomics, but the keen desire of western countries to support their companies. WalMart is total failure in USA regarding social issues. Unorganised retailers had shut shops long ago. In small towns only malls are there. India has 125 Crs population. Unemployment will icrease heavily due to ORGANISED RETAILERS & their cartels.
We Indians today have to choose between a well intentioned, incompetent, dynastic, largely corrupt party or a questionably intentioned, less incompetent, non dynastic, less corrupt, but largely violent, suppressive of any thoughts counter to its own & morally policing party.
However, we choose, the solution to a better government and for us a better country, is for the voter to hold the parties to their election manifestos. We need to become more vocal and push the rabble rousers off the media to ask the government some hard questions about their promises and their delivery.
I am saving a copy of the parties' manifesto for future use, I hope some other readers also will.
