Karat on PM's post
by c mahadevan on Mar 25, 2009 09:57 AM  | Hide replies

Karat's promotion of the third front may look convincing on his interview. But, one thing is certain;the so called non-Congress non-BJP combination of parties is a gathering of failed politicians with individual prime ministerial ambitions. The Left has a proven record of applying frequent brakes to the economic progress of the country.Even if the Third Front is ultimately able to form the government it will not last long and then the front will disintegrate. There is really no third alternative available for our country.

You are absolutely right my friend. We have seen enough of such rubbish in the past few elections. First in 1977 when Morarji Desai led a fractious coalition Government which failed to achieve much due to continuous in-wrangling. Then Charan Singh's coalition Govt was derailed by Cong which was its major ally. V.P. Singh's so called third front Govt. didn't contribute anything except fuelling student ire through Mandal commission. Chandrasekhar Govt., Deve Gowda & IK Gujral's Govt all toppled by CONG. So, the third front thing never worked in India.

IF WE LOOK BACK IN HISTORY, CONGRESS HAS ALWAYS TRIED THEIR BEST TO REMAIN IN POWER AND TOPPLED MANY GOVT. IN THE PROCESS. BUT IN SPITE OF RULING THE COUNTRY FOR OVER 40 YEARS, THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE NATION HAS BEEN SCANTY.

Time has come for us to look beyond Congress. Will the country rise now or empower Congress to take us back a few decades while adding further dangers of more 26/11 & 7/11 to happen?

why the bengalis cannot see what CPM have done to bengal which used be "the leading" state at the time of independence..

Will the people forgive CPM for letting in millions of Bangla Muzlims and giving them Voter ID ?

They have created a problem not only for Bengal , but for the entire country where Bengalis are being mailigned for not stoping the influx ..

All good Karat, but direct election of PM is the only solution
by D S on Mar 25, 2009 09:54 AM

All good Karat, but direct election of PM by people is the only solution

You can say if and buts, small corporate ok and less sinner, big corporates are real sinner. All wrong is wrong, nothing less evil or more evil.

All elections should be funded by Government is good. Let not the shout and show matter, it should be the content that should matter.

Direct election of PM by people is good as well.

Why not have direct election of Third Party PM candiate and end the wheeling and dealing that congress and bjp have done.

Let Dalit be the PM. WHy not allow Dalit to be given chance, Maya be given a chance. Let Paswan, Lallo...with loaded congress money fake themselves as Dalit and usurp her chance.

'modernity has bypassed you' o denizens of waste bengal,

OUR COUNTRY NEEDS A POLITICAL UPHEAVAL
by Mriganayani Tejas on Mar 25, 2009 09:48 AM  | Hide replies

It is time that political overhauling is done like any other "machinery" for the proper functioning of the country. In our country, pseudomonarchy exists.....When will this Gandhi concept end? When there will be a truly secular political party? When there will be an end to corruption? When when when? The answer is "VERY SOON". Just google "Perfect democracy bombax" and know when.
Jai Hind.

it is a fact that had the english imperialism not taken root in bengal first, bengalis would have been the most backward group in modern india. as it is bengalis have slipped down the ladder in all spheres since 1947.

all they are renowned is for holding film festivals, poetry recitations, book fairs, blah blah. intellectual power be damned if it is not backed by materialistic achievements. anyway, incidents of public lynchings are the highest in bengal.

all bengalis are good for is to felicitate retired sports superstars, hold tournaments, crowd the stadiums coz people dont have the work culrure.

all they want is that foreigners praise their 'holy cows' - netaji, tagore, satyajit ray, amartya sen sky high. "what is your opinion of kolkata, sir, oooh gr8 city, nice people" all bengalis want is false praise.

Karat is a useless person
by Titu Sha on Mar 25, 2009 09:44 AM

Karat does not have any cpacity to do anything - in his life he is a big zero. People of West Bengal, the main bassion of Communists hate him and Yechuri.
If Karat and Yechuri had the capacity - why they could not establish CPIM in their own sates?
Bengal is always an infighting state - traditionally Bengalis like to fight among themselves by making group and require a monkey to divide the cake ... Karat and Yechuri take the advantage.
If Karat becomes PM - India will absolutely be ruined - because he does not have any decisioning ability - I have doubt about his integrity of being Indian.

give free is becoming political idealogy
by Prasad on Mar 25, 2009 09:42 AM

All political leaders common idealogy is to take money and improve them self not the country. Communists say we support poor but you doesn't want talent you want every thing will be given to poor and you are making them lazy. In India no party is dedicated for the national interest. Dr.Ambedkar himself mentioned in the constitution reservations should be abolished after 10 years but all political leaders doesn't support. Anything which is helpful to the India they divide but useful for them then they are unite. Best example is Nuclear deal each party is divided but when it comes to their pay package united. Even communists in many places occupied the hard earned land of land owners and collecting whose ransom in the name of poort. They will ask them occupy the land then they negotiate the ransom. Mr Karat should be shame to say that they work for benefit of India which is not so they want poor to exist because in the name of poor they can threaten hard working people and take away their money.

Prakash Karat-power is his ideology
by Jomesh George on Mar 25, 2009 09:41 AM

Prakash Karat is a leader who learned communism by reading books only.He never participated in any strikes or agitations nor contested in any elections. He doesn't know the pulse of people. All his recent acts r shameful whether raising Mayawati one of the most correpted leaders as prime ministerial candidate or making alliance with PDP a communal force in Kerala.People like him and Pinarayi Vijayan has no right to speak about ideologies as they have no ideology except desire for power.

Former chief election commissinor's speech
by christianaggression on Mar 25, 2009 09:40 AM

Former Chief Election Commissioner James Lyngdoh has said that if the EC found BJP leader Varun Gandhi guilty for his alleged hate-speech, then action on other Congress leaders should have been taken as well. He was referring to the Congress leaders accused of abetting the 1984 riots. Lyngdoh reminded that the EC had no choice in Varun's case but to issue an advisory.

But he also cautioned that the EC need not saddle itself with what it has so far. What it needs to do however, is remember the past cases and issue advisories in similar cases. It should treat other similar cases on the same level, he reiterated.
