Inspite of the peoples verdict, Bal thackeray was dis-enfranchised. He is most probably the only well known Indian to have this right taken away from him.
they won't do anything what they tell and what you think they will do.they will do the same congress is doing.it is just a useless party.but they can wisely split the people by religion and get brainless people vote

Varun should not have got a ticket but now since he has got it BJP should stand by him. Election commission has the responsibility to conduct not just fair and free election, but a peaceful election. Maintenance of law and order during the election campaign, not just the day of actual vote is integral to the responsibility of the conducting elections.
This executive responsibility enables EC to draw upon various kinds of decision-making powers including the right to take recourse to legal measures which can preempt an adverse situation from developing.
If there is encroachment of individual's fundamental rights, privacy right, defamatory speech, parochial or religious instigation, then it is within EC's right to interpret the code of conduct in a manner which would be safeguarding law and order.
BJP, in order to avoid any charges being brought upon it, initially had distanced itself from the campaign. This indeed was a sound decision.
EC has also responded to the issue with due deference and respect accorded to BJP. There is a sound proposition of being a minimalist in application of executive authority, to which EC has conformed.
Now it is becoming clear that this issue instead of being an individual aberration needs a systemic policy and value paradigm correction for BJP to redeem itself.

It is perhaps becoming a test case for whether a Hindutva Militia Mind set or Bhartiya Fauji mindset will prevail as the value paradigm championed by BJP.
