You can RULE India for $700 million.
* Total voters = 700 million
* Votes needed to win = 350 million
Since as per BBC, 80% Indians live on 20 rupees a day, you can BUY or BRIBE a vote for $2.

Will CEC Chawla conduct a fair and free elections I doubt
by komaatha on Mar 23, 2009 07:39 PM  | Hide replies

No way CEC Chawla will ensure Congress win
Apropos It is baffling to note the government reject the CEC’s recommendation when Article 324(2) is emphatic that “the other ECs can be removed if the CEC approves their ouster.”

In the beginning, the Election Commission consisted of only the CEC. But the Congress (I) government just before the ninth general election appointed two more Commissioners in an attempt to compromise the independence of the Election Commission. It is curious how the amended rule (on January 2, 1990 by the National Front government), which restored the status quo ante, was negated and the multi-member body continued.

The Constituent Assembly had envisaged such disputes and had asked to constitute a collegium to decide on appointments such as the CEC, ECs to be above partisan politics. But the Administrative Reforms Commission cold-shouldered it. The Apex Court must be given the power to select CEC and ECs from the list given by the government taking the Opposition into confidence.

Selective amnesia- bias of anti-Hindu electronic English media
by Lopesh S on Mar 23, 2009 07:34 PM  | Hide replies

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP government in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.

Under the scheme, the state government buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.

This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress

BJP shows some guts
by Uma Desabhotla on Mar 23, 2009 07:26 PM  | Hide replies

When Karunanidhi can make statements that hurt the sentiments of majority population aka Hindus, I don't see how EC can ask BJP to not showcase Varun as its candidate. Varun is the national hero now. Aunty Sonia is dying of jealousy because her illiterate beta doesn't know the history and geography of India.

Did rama object Karunanithis remark?
Did he go to election commission to make petition against karunanithi.
Ram likes karnanithi more than he likes you. That is why karunanithi is still in power at the age of 83

Thats Good!!
by suryanarayan bhaskar on Mar 23, 2009 06:28 PM  | Hide replies

At last BJP has shown some spine and backed Varun Gandy ( Khan name changed to Gandy and again changed to Gandhi by his grand father at the behest of his worthless father in law.)
Varun Happens to be the first patriotic person in the whole family. But BJp should not have given him a ticket so easily just because he belongs to the worthless family.

Hi Bhaskar, In 1989, BJPs's was given 2 Slogans -

1. "Sogandh Ram ki khate hen, Mandir Vahin banayenge".

2. "Atal, Advani, kamal nishan, mang raha hai Hindustan"

I think BJP's should give slogans now in 2009 -

1. "Sogandh Jinnah ki khate hen, Mandir nahi banayenge."

2. "Jinnah, Advani, kamal nishan, mang raha hai Hindustan".

Who is the BJP's national hero now -

"Jinnah's Advani" or "Hindutava ke maha avtar Varun Gandhi".

What Jinnah. Advani's statement was only to promote goodwill among the Pakis for the minorities in that country. So what Advani said was not bad. But even in 1947 what Jinnash wanted he said openly he did not stab India in the Bank like the traitor Nehru and Gandhi who was a great and good man but was impractical and pseudo secular.

I said Gandhi was a great man but his philosohy was impractical. It was Nehtu who was a traitor and a black sheep.Jinnah was an Obvious open Villain.Sardar Patel was the man who saved so much for India.

No Jinnah is not my Hero. He along with nehru split India among themselves. Jinnah is reponsible for the trouble for Indians of his community whereas Nehru is man who has done maximum damage to the subcontinent.

Again I am not a supported of RSS either. But there is no doubt that nobidy has done more damage for both communities than the Congress and the Nehru Family. They have deliberately kept the minorities backward so that they can appease them and get votes. BJP is byproduct of the Congress evil.India needs somebody like Bose or Savarkar.
