Begining the end of Lalu/Paswan
by om pandey on Mar 22, 2009 02:11 PM

This had to happen not latter than this time but Lalu gave the space for congress to go all out. Lalu/Mulayam fail to realise that congress has not much to loose but gain from here. It was in the interest SP and RJD to keep congress on fence as longer as possible even if ment loosing some unreasonable share but both in process of out smarting with congress has lost moral ground. Congress knows if Lalu out, Nitish is possibility as JDU is no more George party who is anti congress. Game has left open with advantage Congress. Lalu should know that his 2004 sweep was because of his party ruling the state and incumbent NDA at centre.Nitish has not started loosing ground but still on consolidation where as the no in power gain to RJD may reduce its number to unimaginable count. LJP will end up with a lone seat in Bihar.Koshi leaders taslumuddin/ Pappu and Ranjeeta are far close to congress than LJP and RJD.Lalu if UPA in power will get not more then two ordinary ministries.

Sad story
by Venkat on Mar 22, 2009 01:57 PM

It is indeed a sorry state of affairs. A national party and the first political party of the country is driven into oblivion in major states of Bihar, UP and West Bengal. It is unfortunate the party has to eschew the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and follow the foot steps of Lalu, Mulayam and Communists.

Congress has to believe that its strength lies in its work and principles and not in aligning with rogue elements nor in only criticising the opposition.

Congress has to take a principled stand that it is willing to lose election instead of aligning with parties like RJD, SP and communits. It should also come down heavily on its own partymen like YSR Reddy, Digvijay, Ahmed Patel who are disgrace to Gandhian thinking.

Clean the house both within and outside. Don't bother about immediate election results. Your long term party interest is aligned with the long term interest of the country

all regional parties have learned from pranab, all options are open.after the election, bargaining will the main factor for forming the govt.not policies.it will be anybody,s game.hope people will decide a better solution.in any case,we dont have much choice, unless something unexpected happens.

Lalu kee Nautankee
by XYZ ABC on Mar 22, 2009 12:04 PM

Lalu does not want allow seats for congress. However all seats he earns will support UPA. He wants to negotiate for PMs post with maximum MPs from his own Party.
