How long the EC will keep discussing ? EC must take action on two fronts: 1)Debar Varun from contesting for the next five years. 2)Some punishment for his party, that is BJP is also called for. There were media reports about his mother Menaka Gandhi having used govt. buildings for election purposes. In fact yesterday there was TV footage of Varun using RED & BLUE beacon vehicles .It is obvious there is the mother-son duo have been taking the people and EC for a ride. Some punishment also looks due to the great mother who has imbibed such culture in Varun. In case of total failure on the part of EC to take any action then it will be real mockery of the entire exercise of credible poll.
Commenting on Varun Gandhi on CNN IBN,Mr.Javed Akthar said that even if Varun had a single drop of Nehru blood, he would not have commented like this. This statement is defamatory and deserves a criminal case of defamation on Javed Akthar. We have never heard comments like this from him when there were fundamentalist comments from Moulvis and separatists from J & K. CNN IBN, NDTV and Times News are collecting TRP by extending the dead issue ( EC is mum, SG is afraid to take any action)

Can't expect anything better from a fellow who ushered in an era of violence by glorifying it through his dialogues in Sholay in 1975. His wife justified immorality in films like Yeh Nazdeekiyan, Ankur and Fire.
Previously, we were slaves to white men from England. Now,Congress is bent on making us slaves to white woman from Italy. And, that is possible, only if all the constitutional posts are filled up with people who wouldn't mind being slaves to Sonia, so that India will become slave to another European indirectly... Now, President's post is given to a 'controllable' person like Pratibha (due to the criminal background of her husband)... the Election Commission is stuffed with the emergency-tainted sycophant Navin Chawla.. Congress is also trying to stuff the Supreme Court with pliable people, but no one talks about it, since it involves judge appointments... I hardly see any hope for India's destruction and ignominy, unless... unless all the people who understand the grave implications of such things, do two things: (1) On the day of voting, do come out and vote to throw the congress and communits out..(2) Talk to/ educate at least 10 families and make them also vote out Congress..
No way CEC Chawla will ensure Congress win Apropos It is baffling to note the government reject the CEC’s recommendation when Article 324(2) is emphatic that “the other ECs can be removed if the CEC approves their ouster.”
In the beginning, the Election Commission consisted of only the CEC. But the Congress (I) government just before the ninth general election appointed two more Commissioners in an attempt to compromise the independence of the Election Commission. It is curious how the amended rule (on January 2, 1990 by the National Front government), which restored the status quo ante, was negated and the multi-member body continued.
The Constituent Assembly had envisaged such disputes and had asked to constitute a collegium to decide on appointments such as the CEC, ECs to be above partisan politics. But the Administrative Reforms Commission cold-shouldered it. The Apex Court must be given the power to select CEC and ECs from the list given by the government taking the Opposition into confidence

Congress has completely destroyed every democratic institution in this country. PM Manmohan Singh saved his chair by bribing 25 crores to each MP during last confidence motion. Now the congress is supporting chawla. Chawla's name is infamous for being a henchman of Sanjay Gandhi, and his excessess during emergency are well documented in the Shah commission report set up by the Morarji Desai led Janta Party government. That emergency, in essence was anti democratic and that Chawla was its supported indicates that he has no right to be in EC which is the highest democratic instituion in the country. The remarks by Bhardwaj are absolutely disgrace. How can he speak against person who heads the August body. This is Congress gutter journalism at its best. As usual the media is supporting the wrong doings of the congress.
