karnataka bjp going to win 24? you must be joking.. they are still struggling to find candidate for 8 constituency yet. be realistic man. Same with UP. Bjp lost the ground in UP last time, this time they hardly win 10 seat. you are too optimistic about MP, MAH, Punjab. In my opinion, bjp alone will win 120-150 seat.

Even the candidates are not announced for all the seats. Nominations are yet to be filed. I suggest that you keep these statistics with you scribbled on a piece of paper and not post speculations on the Message Board.

Sukumar
Truth is always bitter.
People are fed up with UPA. Farmers suicide, stravation deaths, price rise, unemployment, job loss, share market down, bomb blasts every where in the country, Islamic Terrorism in the peak, creation of mini pakistan and mini bangladesh inside india by successive govts. of congress and UPA for vote, crores of Bangladesi and Pak intruders were given vote Identity cards and citizen ship in India who are vote bank of congress/UPA, kashmiri pandits are living other parts of India as refugees., UPA questioned even the existence of God shri. Ramji and bent to break the Ram Sethu. These are the main achievements of Congress for the last 55 years. Congress made India a Pakistan in Making. The wind has already started in favour of BJP/NDA. This time BJP alone will cross 200 mark.

In UP people are now fed up with Maya, Mulayam & Amar Singh. In the last byelection of assembly Maya lost due to low percentage of voting and Upper cast voters bramihns stayed indoor and not come to vote. Now the uppercaste voters who voted for BSP are now drifting away from BSP and this LS election they are going to vote for BJP. This is the ground situation in UP now. Congress is only in few gandhi family seats. Wind has already started in UP in favour of BJP and its alliance with Ajit Singh Lokdal also will help BJP to get more vote of kissan and more seats. It will be a 3 way neck to neck fight between BJP, SP and BSP in U.P this time.

In M.P. BJP is going to sweep the LS with the popularity of CM. His development activities sand welfare schemes are going well with people of MP. MP is going to another Gujrat incase of Development. The same is the case with Chattisgarh. BJP will also sweep Chattisgarh.
In Maharastra the modi is the Incharge for BJP and his campagin will give big results in Maharastra as people are fed up bomb blasts and congress/ncp govt. in Maharastra. In Orissa there will be a three way fight almost neck to neck between BJD, BJP & Congress. In 2004 BJP got 19.3% vote and BJD 30.02%. The percentage of BJP was less as they fought for less no. of seats. This time BJP vote percentage will increase as people want a BJP/NDA Govt. at the centre. Going with communists will cost BJD very much

Selective amnesia - bias of the anti-Hindu electronic English med
by S S on Mar 21, 2009 01:22 PM  | Hide replies

Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddyurappa has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

The Chief Minister also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants.

Almost all engilsh medias are purchased by foreign companies critical to India . They don't like India to grow- would always feel cong to rule india so that it can't prosper.

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP government in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.

Under the scheme, the state government buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.

This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress

Advaniji is right in asking for an amendment; it is just fair that the party which claims to be "the largest democratic party in the world" (BS) puts up its prime ministerial candidate to fight the popular elections. They have no spine.

Ministers from Rajya Sabha
by ravi prakash on Mar 21, 2009 11:40 AM  | Hide replies

The news that RS members of the INC should not contest in the LS election brings into focus the role of RS. Originally, the RS was an assembly of elders charged with the responsiblity of exercising a check on the legislation cleared by the LS. However, over the years the RS is peopled by those who are unable to get elected but close to the leadership of the political party. Thus the RS has lost its balanced sense of judgment so important to discharge its primary function. The RS also has film stars, singers and reputed musicians who have entered the house at the pleasure of the political leadership.
In the present UPA and in the NDA as well, the RS enabled some people to become ministers despite they losing the elections. Thus our country has had 'appointed ministers' who are beholden to the political formation in power and not the country at large.
The issue of whether RS members can take up a minister's berth must be decided on a nationwide referendum and not left to the whims of the political leaders.

Ravi ,
Our constitution has no provisions for refrendum and also our constitution does not have any opjection for PM or minister coming from RS . so this whole discussion is generated by LKA which is not unusual ( as most of the readers would recall the call for ammedning the constitution to disbar sonia from becoming PM ) its whenever BJP finds that it is not able to get something done , it resorts to constitution ammendment .
