Prediction for the next government and PM
by Astute Analyst on Mar 19, 2009 03:59 PM  | Hide replies

Likely scenarios of the next government:

1.UPA plus SP supported by Left (40% likely): Potential PM - Manmohan Singh/ Pranab Mukherjee/ Sharad Pawar, this government may last 5 years but with internal tussles and occasional threat to survival
2.NDA plus Third Front minus Left (25% likely): Potential PM - Advani/ Mayawati, this government likely to last 2-5 years, Mayawati’s ambitions and midterm succession to Advani may pose threat to survival
3.Third Front plus NCP plus RJD supported by Congress (20% likely): Potential PM - Sharad Pawar/ Mayawati, this government will last not more than 1-2 years
4.Some unthinkable combination through changing sides by parties massive horse-trading leading to break-ups among parties (10% likely): Potential PM – Sharad Pawar, Mayawati, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Jayalalitha, Naveen Patnaik or Deve Gowda – no prediction possible about the stability of this government
5.UPA plus SP with possible support of some small parties (5% likely): Potential PM - Manmohan Singh with mid-tem transition to Rahul Gandhi, this government will last for full 5 years term

Chances of PM candidates:

1.Manmohan Singh: 30% likely
2.LK Advani:20% likely
3.Sharad Pawar:20% likely
4.Mayawati: 15% likely
5.Pranab Mukherjee: 5% likely
6.Some dark horse (like Nitish Kumar, Jayalalitha, Chandrababu Naidu, Lalu Prasad, Naveen Patnaik or Deve Gowda): 10% likely (each with less than 2% chance)

Please check my predictions carefully. I have given less than 50% chance for a government that includes Congress. I am a devout Hindu but you have to make predictions based on the realistic assessment of the political situation in various states.

What Congress did in 60 yrs. to protect Indian politics to be polluted by religion, caste, regionalism ideology?
Simply nothing.
Even when BJP, Bagrang dal was dismantling Babri masjid it was silent…..they were at the centre that time.
When girls are beaten in street by sex starved perverts (of saffron parties) in the name of culture what cong did?.....nothing.

Left does not play caste, religion, region based politics.
In no left ruled state people got beaten in the name of religion, region, and caste.

Vote for left and let our politician know that we are not going to fight among ourselves in the name of religion, region, and caste.

Defeat the politics of division.

Communist don't believe in god ..so no question of religionand caste can arise.

Yechurri forces to support the motion bcoz number of people in India who like to be get benifial holding the hand of Religion,Caste and region is maximun (specially when supported by Cong-BJP it has to be max)......to do something good even left need to win the vote so vote bank politics is mandetory(but should not be the only politial step).

Continued-Varun cannot be punished
by Shankar Kumar on Mar 19, 2009 03:51 PM

Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi’s assassinations and both the time congress won with huge margins.

The final factor is the young voters, with a bigger strength of new voters this time. The youth always like to see something revolutionary in the system, which can protect their freedom. Varun has shown the dynamic strength to fight for good reasons, which have won the heart of youth, and many of them are calling him the messenger of God. Youth prefer straight talks rather than diplomatic meetings, and this is the difference between two young Gandhis. The good effort from Rahul Gandhi for congress seems no more effective after the bold speech of Varun Gandhi.

Now if Varun gets any punishment it may go in the favor of the BJP and all the three factors will work more effectively for them, so one can guess to avoid these kinds of circumstances UPA will stop asking for any strong action against Varun.Mr. Varun is safe and has contributed more than his level to his party.

No Punishment for Varun; a Guess
CHANDIGARH, 19-03 -2009 13:38:

Varun Gandhi is young leader of BJP, and has been booked for his Pro Hindu statement in favor of poor families of his constituency. He is at the age of 29 campaigning for his first election, and surprisingly he has become popular, because of his pro Hindu statement in an election meeting. Almost every media and prominent leader is after him, trying to establish him an anti social element, and a FIR has been lodged against him.

People oppose him are expecting some strong action against him, but the reality is he has done the Job, and he is not in trouble, but the opposite parties are in a doubt full position, after his statement. India is a Hindu populous country, and more than 82% of its population is Hindus. Every experienced leader knows the fact that if he gets any punishment, then the wave of pro Hindu voters will be turned in favor of BJP, as it is already working at the website of friends of BJP, where some educated people tried to show their high-class vision by criticizing him, but people burst on them.

The present position of BJP and Shiv Sena are the example of the success of pro Hindu vision, both the parties have a huge strength of Hindu vote bank in the country. Earlier it was an issue of Ram Mandir, which led BJP to the Parliament. The other factor is the sympathy wave that we saw in the past went in favor of Congress after Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi’s assassinations and bo

It is a good sign if in a democratic country, politicians unite and make a common platform so as to push country to new era, instead of fighting for chairs/ego/money etc.,
Rather we need drastic political reforms.

How the English Media discriminates ...
by sledge hammer on Mar 19, 2009 03:45 PM  | Hide replies

In fact, the secular messengers of the new gospel of hate have turned into aggressive proselytizers setting their worldview as a prerequisite to enter any socio-political or literary regime. They have successfully monopolized the world of various media establishing English as the only vehicle of intellectual discourse and thus keeping the doors to the higher echelons of elite and decision makers shut to those who belong to the Indian-language groups and represent the real ethos of the land. Although to make profits, these very secular groups would sell bhajans and show religious serials while attacking the very spirit of and the protective shields to such traditions in the very next programme. They can't imagine winning votes with speeches in English or going to the common voter with a wine glass or a beer bottle in their hands. Yet, in their social circuit, they would raise the flag of "pub culture" and look with contempt at a person speaking an Indian language.

Just have a look at the loan forms of the banks. The last paragraph says "those blind, illiterate or signing in a vernacular language must get their signatures attested by someone who knows English". Can this kind of instruction be tolerated in the UK or the US for their national languages? Even the use of the word "vernacular" for the national languages is a derogatory, colonial hangover.

But who cares?
