The writer has tried her best to put it across to the mass that the fight is between Cong and Third front and there by completely sidelining BJP, who is all purpose is going to be the no.1 party after the elections. I dont know how cong is going to improve on its current tally of 140 odd seats. Its tally is going to be considerably low in MP,Andhra,TN,Karnataka,UP,Bihar,Jharkand with minimal hope from Kerala & WB. Even its allies will have a diminished return this time with DMK,RJD,LJP,JMM are going down the graph. Cong should feel lucky if they touch figure of 115-120 of its own.
The so called third front which the author tries to hype up is nothing but a lose wagon with everybody pulling in its won direction. Most of these will allign with Cong or BJP after elections. And here too BJP/NDA stands to gain as TDP,TRS and AIADMK would moslty look towards them. Only way congress can keep BJP out of power could beto support someone like Mayawati who left is trying its level best to hype up. But I dont think they will do such a suicidal act as that will only strengthen BJP/NDA for the next general elections which wont be beyond 2011 in such case.
So the party which writer tried to sideline, BJP, stands to gain in any case.

cong has an advantage this time in keral ,WB,rajasthan, UP( if it teams up with samajwadi). if DMK loses then aiadmk can team up with cong also. so we cant exactly say bjp will gain. also in AP the split in anti govt votes between PR and TDP can benefit the congress.
even though we can entirley rule out the BJP like the author did, we cant entirely rule out the congress too.
AIADMK,BJD,PR ,TRS, Trinamul cong,JD(S)can support either bjp or cong or third front. whomever they support will form govt.

All the regional parties should be BANNED. Only 2 or 3 parties shud be allowed to contest the election. Congress, BJP & Janata Dal. All these regional parties are weakening the country. They have only their state interest ( more of personal) in mind.How can these parties think of Nation's interest. They have their own personal goals and prejudices and act like mini despots.

Perfect, but who bells the cat? We need a 2 party system at national level and thats it. The small rats are throwing national interest into dustbins for their own desires. It is funny to see so many PM conteders. Why because it is a road to loot countrys GDP to more swiss accounts!
