Whenever thrid front fights separately its advantage BJP

They came to power when Third front fought an election along with congress led alliance. This is because of TF will cut the votes of congress' traditional voters.

Very true. Chandrababu will support NDA from outside, BJD will come back to it, AIADMK will also join the alliance.

Third front - gang of corrupt preaching morality?
by democrazy on Mar 17, 2009 04:46 PM  | Hide replies

Very recently, Mr. Karat spoke of getting swiss banks to reveal stashed away ill gotten wealth by Indian politicians. Even before he does that, can he get his coalition partners to truthfully state their wealth and its true source? I am not saying Congress, or BJP, or their allies are saints. I am only pointing to the moral bankruptcy in our system. How much did the communist politicians make in their career? Can they explain the wealth of Mayawati, Kumaraswami, Devegowda, Chandrababu Naidu, etc? A party which enjoyed power for almost decade in alliance with BJP, now in partner in third front? How is that they were happy to be part of communal brigade? Mayawati herself used BJP to come to power, and when she had to handover power to them in rotation, she ditched them. Is she a principled ally?

What are her policies to benefit the citizens of this country? Let us not talk in terms of caste or community. What has she (i.e, BSP govt) done in UP that benefits a larger society. All we heard was the Ambedkar parks, and wasteful expenditure on statues of Kanshiram and her own (which is truly unheard of, since, in Indian tradition no living person will want his or her own statue erected). Have they improved schools, education facility for the Dalit children? Whenever we talk of education, politicians speak of reservation. Apart from that, they do NOT even seem to know how to improve the skills.

cont'd ...

Actually, they do NOT want them to come up. They want to show a sky high carrot and keep them downtrodden to exploit their votes. This has been the crime committed by ALL these parties in the name of upliftment of the poor. They do not provide facilities, they do not want to empower for real change. They want them to be permanently bonded to their crutches. Only when public realizes this, we will see real change in the society.

Why isn't the media conducting development postmortem, ans asking the REAL tough questions?

You are right..
Book written by Arun Shorie "Worshiping False God" is applicable here..
People worship Ambedkar as if he is God..But fact is to be understood by everyone that he is not..What do we worship Gandhi because he fought for freedommbut we pay homage to him..

Our politicians have cleverly made them nothing but statues for garlanding! They do not practice even 0.1% of what these men stood for.

Congress at 105
by Anand Bharadwaj on Mar 17, 2009 04:42 PM  | Hide replies

Even if there is a 'Wave' for a party, the winning chance is 50% of the seats contested.
if congress needs 300 seats then it has to contest 600 seats!!!!
be realistic, congress is contesting in just 300 seats and even with a powerfull wave it can manage only 150! (i do not see any such wave for congress...)
in my opinion conress could end up 35% of its contested seats, which is 105.

LALU-PASWAN COMBINE WOULD SWEEP BIHAR POLL
by jamsheed abumohammed on Mar 17, 2009 04:39 PM  | Hide replies

It is good that Lalu Prasad Yadev and Ram vilas Paswan have decided to fight together the next elections. With the kind of popularity wave Lalu and Paswan are riding particularly among the Muslims and Dalits, they would sweep the next elections hands down. Congress in the bargain would also win the seats allotted to them. BJP and JD(U) would bite the dust as anti-incumbancy factor would work against them as Nitish Kumar governance has come into severe criticism. As a Railway Minister, Lalu has created a surplus budget for railways without affecting the developmental works of railways. He has also introduced several new routes, ensured the safety of passengers, did not rise the fares but on the other hand reduced the fares for the benefit of Aam Admi. He has been popular among the IITians for the kind of management practices he has introduced in running the railways. He is also popular among other Universities of the world teaching modern management. This is the first time that a Railway Minister has been invited to give lectures in the world renowned universities on the management system. He is popular for his histroinics as well as his performance. He has also ensured time arrival and departure of the trains besides providing value added services to the passengers. One can see more fans, more seatings on the railway platform and cleanliness. The computerisation of ticketing, net services and other value added services were the add advantage of the railways because of Lalu.

What wonders did Mr.Lalu do in railways?.Transfering more general tickets to tatkal and there by increasing profit.Do u think common man has benifitted from this?.If he had done wonders in railways why did he fail to do so when he ruled Bihar from 1990 to 2006.Nitish his far better and the face of Bihar has improved a lot

Till few months back BJP was showing their true color by burning church and houses of dalit christians in Orissa with support of BJD. BJP made many people homeless in that riot. Their prayers made BJP homeless in Orissa. So don't spread hatred.
