I am sad to say that BJP is not coming to power again. Lower percentage voting means people are not excited about change in government. So they will not come out and vote. The one who votes are the usual suspects that vote in every election. So nothing changes in this country for the next 5 years. Congress and the Leftist will rule us and at the end of the fifth year the leftist will again pull out their support from the government. So thanks to so called higher caste people be prepared to be ruled by Congress and the Leftist. Congratulations:)

There was Thane LS byelection in Maharashtra about a year ago. Voter turnout was just below 30%. Shiv Sena candidate won by 90,000 votes.
Low voter turnout may also mean supporters of ruling party are no more enthusiastic about voting them back to power.
Low voter turnout is disappointing though. Government and EC should do something about it.
India jahan hai wahi rahega. None can change it. When curruption is flowing like blood in india society, how can anyone hope of change. I bet 5 yrs after, we will be discussing the same what we are doing now.
