You are right, stupids like you can say only he he he he, laughting on self. Rember it is brainless idiots who are responsible for plight of Country. People like you are responsible for murder of democracy. Now it is minority worship, which is slogan of Congress, Communists and all rainy frongs. Because they have understood, Muslims has no brain, they can be kukked to go enblock for any secularist, who can fool them by slogans.
Tratment of Varun indicates where a ordinary Citizen stands in front of criminal politicians like Cong. Comm. etc.

never bjp
by Imran on Apr 30, 2009 02:48 PM  | Hide replies

The Indian people voted against the NDA's pro-rich, pro-corporate neo-
liberal policies that impoverish the majority; they rejected hate-
driven Hindu-fundamentalist politics of exclusivism and Islamophobia;
and they reaffirmed their commitment to pluralism and secularism. The
Left gathered its highest parliamentary tally in history.
The electorate strongly supported the Congress wherever it took a
clear, combative stand on secularism, and on poverty and
unemployment. Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi added to the impact. But an
anti-BJP sentiment already existed - rooted in public anger at the
NDA's zealously neo-liberal policies, which have produced agrarian
distress, unemployment and hunger.

It's necessary to reaffirm secularism actively by exemplarily
bringing the Gujarat pogrom's villains to justice, by resolving the
Ayodhya dispute through a temple-plus-mosque formula, by banning
Togadia-style hate-speech, and revising communal textbooks. It's
imperative to "detoxify" institutions corrupted by the BJP.
India must return to Non-Alignment and emphasise a non-hegemonic,
multi-polar, peaceful and rule-based world order. Similarly, its
security policy must be freed of BJP-style jingoism. This is a
wonderful opportunity to turn the people's aspirations into radical
policies.

For Your kind information, it is not Priyanka Gandhi it is Priyanka Vadhra. Congress is extracting full advantage of the word GANDHI from the DUMBO indians.

That is why during 60 years of Congress pro-poor policy, India has managed to remain poor, after all pro-poor policy means to glorify poverty, except for themselves of course.

fight them
by Imran on Apr 30, 2009 02:42 PM  | Hide replies

The monster of communalism still stalks Indian society and has the potential to catapult its practitioners to power. We must not forget that the results of the Karnataka Assembly elections represent a victory of sorts for the BJP, since it was the communalization of politics that gave it a tally of 80 plus seats.MP, Rajasthan & Chattisgarh have voted in favour of the BJP.
The fight against communalism must go on and it is the average citizen of this country who will play a crucial role in ensuring that India remains a secular nation wedded to the spirit of tolerance and accommodation.

In the background, the storm troopers of the Sangh Parivar were working overtime to communalize Indian society with their vicious, offensive propaganda of religious nationalism.Ayodhya was raked up from time to time to pressurize the government into acting in the" interests" of the "Hindu" community. The riots in Gujarat in February 2002 and the state sponsored massacres of the M*slim community were all part of an offensive to promote "H*ndu" interests. One expected the NDA allies and the honorable Prime Minister to intervene decisively and dismiss the Modi Government for its shameful role in organizing the riots. Nothing of that kind happened. It was left to the handful of NGO's and a few courageous publications to expose the misdeeds of Modi and his henchmen.

RIGHT PLACE
by Imran on Apr 30, 2009 02:28 PM  | Hide replies

In his press conference, Varun claimed to be a ‘Gandhi’ but he has forgotten the ideals of his own family, at least of his grandmother. “All my father’s works”, said Indira Gandhi in 1962, “have been written in prison. I recommend prison life not only for aspiring writers but for aspiring politicians too.”

Is there any message for Varun? Yes, prison is the only place where he can wear the mantle of political maturity.

First of all I think Varun should be barred from contesting elections for life. If the EC cannot do that ( and the party he belongs to doesn’t do it)then the option of going to the court should be explored. It seems Congress is unwilling to do that, maybe just to expose BJP further, but someone has to take some action to prevent Varun from causing further damage.
Hate mongers are always more active than peacelovers. If we count the opinions on the comments space across various websites ( on this topic) the winner will be Varun Gandhi. But does that reflect the whole society? If it does then it’s very scary…But in my opinion there are a lot of people out there who cringe inwardly at such hateful speeches, but doesn’t feel the need to be vocal against it. This inertia is dangerous…It’s time we all become aware and more active in condemning things of communal nature so that our voices do not get drowned out by the fanatics.
