Chidambaram is Home minister not Finance minister. Vicky Nanjappa wake up !! I think Yeddy was right in handing him to the police. It all started because PC forgave that Sardarji fearing voters backlash. Being a home minister, how can he do that. These people who forgave should think they hold a position in the govt. and that is what was insulted.

This type of activity has become fashion to some peoples to come to the lime light of the media. To throw Shoes or Chappals is shameful to civilized people and world. Drastic action should be taken against these type of ill minded peoples.
Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP govt in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.
Under the scheme, the state govt buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.
The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.
The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level. Kanyadhan Yojna: state gives Rs 7,500 for poor families during the time of a girl's marriage, and Janani Suraksha Yojna: state provides all economic & health support to a pregnant woman till the time of delivery. This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress

Lopesh, it is true to the core because all media in India are biased and controlled by missionaries. The achievements of NDA were rather not highlighted by media intensionally. Suvarna chatushpatha, linking of water, nuclear testing were the initiatives that had far reaching effect on India. unfortunately Indian dont want prosperity, educated do not vote, only 30-40% will vote and out of which minority are decissive. a representative is always a minority candidate in india. I dont find any hope for our country morally and socially.

Nothing great about this as many South Indian states under Congress and non Congress Govts have implemented similar or better schemes a decade or two ago. The list includes Deve Gowda (as Karnataka CM) and Jayalalitha too

Man, you have written that you want to live happily. If so, please migrate to Swat Valley or Afganisthan so that you can enjoy with purdah clad women, apart from company from beard weilding mullahs who look like cartoons from police files.
All along politicians had their free ride with their BS without any checks or balances. Even though slipper or shoe throwing is not new to the politicians, it takes guts to do this against the politicians, thanks to the brave iraqi reporter who stood against the criminal and to those people who are standing against the evil hatred spreading politicians.
