Any good scheme from BJP is bad for media
by Kamadhenu on Apr 27, 2009 09:28 PM  | Hide replies

Yeddyurappa’s budget had encouraging news for several sections of the population — farmers, high school students, officials, researchers, patients, alike.

The decision to send 1000 farmers abroad on a study tour will expose them to different types of farming methods. Further a provision of Rs 750 crores as a support price for farm produce is good news.
Yeddi has given a fillip to ornamental fishery and has given an impetus to the establishment of goshalas for the protection of milch cattle. Extending free power to farmers with upto 10 HP pumpsets, introducing e-tendering to bring in transparency, allotting Rs 2 crore for reviving the river Arkavathy and establishing 500 foot bridges in the Malnad to bring connectivity to remote villages, are all heartening to note.

CM also deserves to be congratulated for providing free health insurance to poor families. Another noteworthy point, is the support given to the development of sandalwood cultivation, green villages and medicinal plants

BJPs Novel scheme – What did congress do in 60 years
by Bskr T on Apr 27, 2009 09:27 PM

Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme was started by the BJP government in MP in 2006. In a very short time, it has proved to be one of the most successful social welfare schemes in the history of the state.

Under the scheme, the state government buys saving certificates of Rs 6,000 each year for five consecutive years for every girl born in a family.

The girl gets Rs 2,000 after she completes her Class 5, another Rs 4,000 after she completes Class 8, Rs 7,500 after she completes the Class 10, Rs 200 per month in her 11th standard and a lumpsum amount of Rs 1,18,000 after she enters the 12th standard or, alternatively, attains the age of 18.

The principal aim of the scheme is to eliminate school dropout among girl students and to encourage them to study at least upto pre-college level.

This is what I (as an Indian) call development of girl child; unfortunately no media will project this, but will project BJP as T@liban if some Sene beats a girl who goes to a pub only coz it happened in a state ruled by BJP. This bias is going to be the undoing of the Congress

Difference of culture
by KA on Apr 27, 2009 08:33 PM  | Hide replies

Main difference between UPA and NDA is that in UPA you get the chair (whatever chair) by being a strongest sycophants of Sonia Ji. In NDA, you get the chair mainly because what qualities you have shown in past. So UPA leaders focus and spent 95% of their time in pleasing Sonia Ji (performance is of no value) and 5% time in making fast money. In NDA, leaders spent 85% time in public service, 10% time in pleasing boss and 5% time to make some money (public service is key to rise rather than sycophancy). Narendra Modi was a tea vendor in the beginning of his career, and now people want him to be PM due to his past performance and vision. Even when former Kings (Scidia, Diggi) join Congress, they know before joining congress that how far will they go will depend on licking the feet and PM, don't even dream. Pranab, Nutwar, Arjun once dreamed to be PM, now they peon. rahul is right that there is no democracy in congress party working.

Good analysis. Congress is nothing but fully owned (unchallenged) company of Gandhi Family. If Gandhi's are not there, congress will collapse. On the other hand BJP is sustained with various power centres like Shivrajji, Modiji, Raman Singhji etc., they are not depending on anybody or any family.

Friends, if you want more and more CM's like Shiv Raj Chauhan please make it a point to vote in the elections, and ensure that all your family members and friends vote too, for the party which fields candidates like ShivRaj Chauhan. Otherwise we will be stuck with people like Mayawati, Vilasrao Deshmukh, and YSR>

BJP is not going to sweep the polls. Congress is going to sweep the polls. BJP supporters are rich businessmen with access to computers and internet. Congress supporters are dedicated to the service of all Indians, particularly the minorities and weaker sections of society.

Congress supporters are poor and illiterate, many are fooled by associated "Gandhi" name with the party. Congress has exploited Mahatma's name well for their advantage. These people are no. one crooks.

Congress leaders thrive on promoting backwardness
by Akash deep on Apr 27, 2009 05:10 PM  | Hide replies

India Today had published a cover story a few months back in which it had ranked Lok Sabha constituencies in the order of their backwardness. All constituencies of Congress starwalts - Sonia, Rahul, Scindia, Pranab Mukherjee, Chidambaram - were in 400 plus rankings. That means, they deliberately keep the people in their constituencies backward and win by the feudal goodwill. But I wonder how long the people of these constituencies will continue to be fooled. Atleast Vidhan Sabha elections showed that only those leaders win, who are pro-development - Modi, Sheela Dikshit, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Raman Singh, Nitish Kumar.

Some idiot has written this article, he doesn't know anything about M.P.
Till 2002 Congress was the rulling party and Uma bharti threw congress out of power. Shivraj singh was no where in the picture then.

After Uma, Babulal Gaur was the CM. Shivraj is CM since last 3 and half years.

And author says Shivraj 10 years ago kicked the Congress out of power.

Rediff plz verify the facts before publishing.
