Its not about who did the crime but what was the crime . My take is both kerala police and Muthalik are criminals and should be punished . However one small thing which i have a problem with is media trials . Muthalik becomes a villian without the court becoming involved . Also the kerala policemen become villians without a thorough investigation beig carried out . These are bad signs . People should be more circumspect as most of these media houses have their own agenda and we should take these reports with a pinch of salt . Also this is not about kerala ( mallus ) or karnatka ( kanadigas ) or for that matter UP or bihar or any other comunity but criminals ( which incidently are there in all comunities ) .

Mar Thoma, Rubbish survey that one. I was in Kerala during the elections. The law & order was so bad that one CPI(M) candidate from Trivandrum and his supporters in the middle of the day threatened to eliminate the DM of that place when he was ordering removal of the election cut-outs and banners of the candidate. He was silent till all cut-outs of Shashi Tharoor (Cong) and the BJP and NCP candidates were removed, but became violent when the officials were working on getting the CPI(M) cut-outs removed. This is the law & order in that state. And the police who were arrested in Mangalore were from Kerala for drinking and molesting local women. Come for a discussion and I will prove to you that you have zero idea of what is happening.

I believe that among all other states surveyed Kerala faired better than any, so they said, number one in law and order. It doesn't mean that the law and order is at the top in Kerala, but better than any other state in India..
Where dont you see ministers threatening Police? In other some other states they go to the extent of kidnapping and killing without leaving a trace of suspicion on them..
Now, Police drinking and molesting a women, Have you heard that when a women went to lodge a complaint in a police station in one of the indian states, she was raped by police?
Dont you think Kerala is better than such what we have experienced..
Having said that, I am not a keralite nor I am in not agreement with what Kerala police has done in Mangalore. Ofcourse it is illegal and they should be punished for their such callous attitude..

Chaplin, You don't know the sex scandals that Kerala ministers are involved in... Kodiyeri Balakrishna is involved in a sex scandal with a girl younger than his daughter. Beheading of opposition party workers in Kasargod is another issue of good law and order. Why, Pinariyi Vijayan is involved in a case of threatening government offcials and senior policemen. As for molesting, when people of Ram Sena beat up girls in a pub, you all called it molesting. But when drunk policemen tease & harass women, it is not molesting? Wow, double standards. The name suggests that you are not serious about what you are talking.

sir.We should start a campaign against the police force and i really appreciate the idea of distributing sweets.secondly what we people should do is to get the RTI among common people and ask them to use it properly,thirdly i just read kerala police are well behaved,but no they are worst than the politicians of that state,as said they are the biggest thieves,goondas etc.good for writing so bold,but will there be any benifit of our writng.

What a thoought! Of course, most of them are bad as you have said. Especially, in the train there are several incidents where policment intimidate the passenger and take away money.

Ok, I agree , In that case, let us not have police and police stations across India, do you know what will happen? There is atleast SOME law and order everywhere now, If no police and police station, there will be no end to the crimes, rapes, robberies,loot, molesting etc.

I have seen Kerala Police roaming from compartment to compartment in search of someone smoking near the toilets, especially peopel comming down to Kerala, then they would force them to shell out money and whatever they get right from 50/- to 250/-. All beggers, I am really ashamed to see all these in a state which claims to be 100% literare.

50 to 250 ? I have had Pune Police take 5/- from me when I was traveling thru pune on my way to Surat by road. Also I haev had the AP police beg for 10/- when I asked him to charge me and send a notice !
