In the assembly elections of gujrat 2008, Narendra Modi made campaign of "Jeetega gujrat", which is the political move of Narendra Modi to establish himself as CM of gujrat & at the same time he demolished the ambition of LKAdvani's PM's candidature by the campaigning of jeetega gujrat. The national level party propaganded itself to be the party at regional level of gujrat & LK can not do anything at that time. Narendra Modi finished LKAdvani. This is the intra-party politics.

Kuldip Nayar, Nandita Das, Arundhati Roy, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akthar, Teesta Seetalvad, Mahesh Bhat and several other SECULAR intellectuals are waiting at the Indo-Pak border to welcome the Taliban.
Laloo, Mulayam, Amar, Sonia, MMS, Amar Singh, Prakash Karat, Brinda Karat, Somnath Chatterjee and other SECULAR politicians too are waiting at the border to welcome Taliban.
New definition of Secularism: Voting on religious lines. Consolidation of votes on religious lines. Practicing Vote bank politics to please a particular religion to the neglect of the other religion.
New definition of Communalism: Equality to all people irrespective of religion or faith.
Let us turn the country from control of fanatic secularist to communalist parties so that everyone can be treated equally.

I think it was Sonia Gandhi who stabbed Sitaram Kesari to gain control over the party. PVNR was the party's choice when Rajiv got assassinated.
