I have my doubts whether we are ahead in knowledge compared to so called advanced counties of the world. Why then we go to them for higher studies ? Yes, we were advanced , but over a period of time, we have lost substantial ground both in knowledge and progress. Who is responsible for this ? Who plundered us ? Who kept us in the dark ? Who didn't give us education, health, nutrition, roads, other infrastuctures, water, power ? Who perpetuated caste system ? 60 yrs have passed ! No more Gulami - Wake up India- its not yet too late- make a chnge to change your fate for better.
All the credit goes to congress for this difference. If the congress would hve not ruled the country for such a long time, the scenario could have been different. Lets give the chance to BJP to come to power.
I appreciate this effort of entering into the mind of a common man. This young and ordinary person has told one very pertinent thing-use knowledge to solve problems and not for creating wealth in swiss bank accounts or for destructive purposes. After filth, dirt and populist journalism, rediff has brought a welcome trend in journalism.

u r not intelligent. he means that there is a gap between knowledge or know-how and actual progress. he means that the resources are not getting transformed into purposeful results

the good thing about this is that a village lad is so much socially and politically aware of things that are yet to be caught up by many city students. he has a bright future.
Yes we are behind in progress because our knowledge is more theory based and less practicle. Our teachers mentality is not better than a baboo in our beuracracy, who just want to complete syllabus. Student can pass only school exams. They will always fail in the real life challenges.

I agree. e.g. Physics. This subject can be taught with such simple experiments. But all teachers do is come and blabber about it.
