That is called being modest and NOT boastful. Please understand that it is a good thing. It does not mean that she and NDA has no confidence.

PC still at work!
by Sharad Pradhan on Apr 23, 2009 02:46 PM  | Hide replies

The TOI reported yesterday that while all MPs and ministers are currently in their constituencies, P Chidambaram is the only minister and MP who is still working from his office in Delhi and attending all meetings pertaining to the Home ministry. This is certainly commendable. He has put his job at stake! He is not worried about losing from Sivaganga by giving priority to his work and commitment. Keep it up, PC! I hope you win!

Elections
by rohit Rj on Apr 23, 2009 01:26 PM

Varun Gandhi episode was blown out of proportion by the pseudo secular media, they tried to create the anti BJP atmosphere by showing the promos again and again, but when sanjay dutt or srinivasan or lallu yadav gave the same speeches, they just kept mum, this double standard of media show how corrupt they are, channels like NDTV, CNN IBN, Times Now tops the list, why you have double standards for different people, this incident shows that in India if you speak anything about a particular community then you are regarded as communal, venomous and the list goes on, but if you speak anything about Hindu bashing, media seems to ignore it, as if it was just a speech.

Varun Gandhi would not have gotten so much publicity, but now people sympithizes with him just because of the double standard of the media. It was a game played by congress, electronic media and the print media, just before the elections but it went the other way.

People of India please realize it and vote for the right party, see the development work done in Gujrat by Modi and BJP, the security situation is far better, this is what all of us wants a secure India and a developed India, so please caste your vote for the right party, vote for BJP.

Form National Govt. in case of Hung Parliament!!!
by khairnar on Apr 23, 2009 01:16 PM

Open Letter to all political parties: Don't work against public opinion and cheat them and work against democracy by doing post poll alliances after the general election. In case of HUNG VERDICT or not getting atleast simple majority to any pre-poll alliances or single national political party, then they should understand that PEOPLE WANT A NATIONAL GOVT. leaded by the single largest party emerged after the general election result. Year 2004 was not the different, but managed postpoll alliances, you political parties made a big ULTA PULTA ALLIANCE but it could not govern the country and country's problem effectively. The people of India fed up with all the poltiical parties and their vote bank politics and psuedo communal and caste theories. Hence, they are giving verdict for all the Poltiical Parties and ask them to LEAD A NATIONAL GOVT. and not for one political party govt. or post poll patch up alliance Govt. since they should understand that they all are fighting each other in the general election and they are not deserving to make a post poll alliances. But CAN ONLY MAKE NATIONAL GOVT. THAT IS THE GENERAL PUBLIC'S VERDICT. TAKE IT OR DESTROY DEMOCRACY AS PER YOUR WISH!!! Public should also start agitation against forming a post poll alliance govt. against people's verdict and put a stop for post poll working arrangements in the future

Advani is a very weak leader
by vijay patel on Apr 23, 2009 12:46 PM

Advani is a very weak leader. He really was never trusted by Vajapayee and had to take instruction from his bosses.

Advani as PM Manmohan Singh has pointed out never really done anything worthwhile in his 81 years in politics.

According to his own admission in his book, he did not know when terrorist were released during Kandhar episode. Now for any one to beleive that is too much. He was the deputy PM and home minister. Do you think he can be called a strong leader who cannot decide or stand by his decision if its found wanting.

I cant think of any weaker leader in Indian politics then Advani

BJP is the party of the elite (aka the Brahmins and upper castes) who have a vested interest in propogating and perpetuating orthodox Hinduism because that preserves their position.Dalits , Adivasis and Backward castes should not vote for their oppressors

Congress has stronger links with oppression than Hindutva forces. This is how:

Oppression is mainly rampant in villages where RSS/VHP/BD have virtually no existence, but Congress is deep rooted. It follows that Hindutva forces have nothing to do with oppression, but Congress possibly has.

Oppression is actually reducing over last two decades with the rise of Hindutva forces in the rural areas.
