Dear Friend,

I have had the chance to assess in detail some of the claims being made by the BJP on the work done by the Congress-led UPA government on the economy, and I think it is safe to say that there is at least one party that adheres strongly to the belief that if you repeat a lie often enough, people will come to start believing it.

In response to 5 big myths that the BJP is attempting to propagate, we have prepared a short document that lays out the facts. The full document is available on: Five Myths About the Economy Propagated by the BJP

The following is a brief summary.

Myth 1: The Congress has "mismanaged the economy and it is in recession"
Fact: The BJP's claim of the economy being in recession is both technically and substantively untrue. India's average economic growth rate during the five years of the UPA government was 8.5%, compared to 5.8% under the NDA. Even in the last year of the UPA government, when the world economy went into recession, India's growth remains resilient (and was higher than it was during the NDA regime).

Myth 2: The Congress led government has "hobbled both the organised and unorganised sectors of the Indian economy"
Fact: The growth rate of the industry and services sectors increased from 5.0% and 7.7.% under the NDA to 7.8% and 10.5% under the UPA respectively. In addition, the UPA instituted landmark programmes for the unorganised sector (such as the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana for workers) which did not exis

We had enough of Congress. They are tired, tested and failed party. We need change. It is not healthy Democracy to let one party rule for 60 years. That will allow them to take people of the country for granted. You know how Congress has institutionalized corruption for the same reason that they have monopoly. Change at this point will do a world of good. We want fresh ideas and vision for this county. Not the 125 year old rotten, obsolete vision. It has only rusted our country.

JNGN,

I too have received this letter from Jairam Ramesh, the spokeperson of Congress. Prior to this letter he sent another one criticising BJP's manifesto and asking replies to five questions. After analysing both Mr. Jairam's letter and BJP's manifesto, I found that the answers that Jairam is seeking is already there in the manifesto.

Congress may boast anything, but the ground level fact is that for a common man, it has become even more difficult to meet his both ends. Irrespective of the figures they quote on inflation and GDP growth, the plain fact is that when we go to the market, everything is costilier day by day.

Babu

Forget BJP saying things!

JGN- Mr. Pro Congress Writer,

Are all Businessmen, IT Employees, Farmers, Common men lieing? Is Congress/Gandhi family above all that even after looting people and making AAM JANTA poor in past 5 years just like they have been doing for past 55 years, a better administration?

The Agriculture sector has gone down from 4.5% growth to 2.5%.
What Economists are MMS and Chidambaram? What is the use of educated people in Congress if they are going to Finalise every decision from Gandhi Family only?
Do you think People are blind for past 55 years?

All your above figures are a total fake!

there is no electricity in many rural areas where Congress ruled more than 50 years. e.g. Amethi.

Instead of bringing up Sachin Pilot and cindia as PM candidates, Gandhi family wants Rahul Gandhi as PM. WHY? do u have answers? Why DYNASTIC RULE!
Why is SONIA taking commands from Belgium and Vatican. Why is COngress converting people to christianity in tribal areas as well as cities on basis of free education and family coverage.
Can they gove these faciltities without CONVERTING them?

Why is Vatican based churches funding Congress? Why are Nuns treated as slaves in Missionary churches?

Why is Congress openly using Muslim Votes as an agenda? Isnt this communal now?

Just bcoz of these reasons today we have a RSS.

Naxalities too are headed by chritsian missionaries.
EVEN LTTE head Prabhakaran is a Chritsian.
