If Sonia Gandhi was really a nationalist, reason for which the award was given, then she should if sincere have refused it saying that there are so many Indians better qualified to receive it. Therefore one wonders if behind this "honour" there is not a repayment of some favour received, or a reminder that India is still a colony of the west easily swayed as per their convenience by keeping a white at the helm and by granting awards and honour, fill the empty Congressmen's hearts with pride.
The implications of the gesture is definitely political. Which Indian has ever received an award from a western country? Besides Belgium is the size of Goa and environs, it is not worthy of attention except for its diamond trade and European Union headquarters. It's sophisticated diamond cutters are nowhere compared to our traditional but worthy craftspeople. However, to think that the fly can upset an elephant is truly disturbing.

White people ive awards to each other all the time, it is their culture. In this case, they want to elevate Sonis to Goddess status! More conversions that way to almighty jeeeeeeesus.
Sonia took the Leopold award from the Catholic Belgian government where she declares allegiance to the Catholic Belgium king and not to the Indian constitution. That is not welfare to the Indian nation. Leopold award from Belgium is for military bravery and nationalism in Catholic Belgium. During 1971 India-Pakistan war Madame Sonia was an Italian citizen. She and her husband Rajiv ran away to hide in Italy. After the brave Indian soldiers won the war Madame then Italian Sonia came back to India with husband Rajiv in tow. Sonia did not show bravery like the Indian jawans.

I was just wondering if Belgian govt also considers its poeple of other origin as equal citizen & provide them with basic human rights. In reality it is sad to see how poeple of other origin are kept aside from the main streem in Belgium.Funny part is that Belgium doesnot exist in the heart & mind of it's people, either you are a Flemish or a Waloon or a Vreemdling people from other origin mainly from non western cuntry but no one is a Belgian. It is only about money in Belgium & this award given to Sonia was better given to Flemish people in order not to Divide Belgium & make Flanders.

YOu are totally right! This award was also given because Sonia is providing access to Indian diamonds for Belgian businessmen. There are so many brave Indians in India. Why give it to a European Sonia. Why not an actual Indian. This is where corruption sets in.
This further elucidates the duplicity of Mr.Gopalswamy and shameless, ignorant partisanship of BJP. One thing is sure: an electorate that does not like to see truth has been thoroughly conned by evil men in garb of "justice vending" "leaders.". It is entirely in the dignity and right of both Ms.Gandhi and rest of congress to resolve not to proceed further on elections for two reasons: 1. The vote of an untruthful and duplicitous electorate is both invalid as well as evil in quality. 2. There is no meaning in trying to represent those who know no truth and are only "partisan" in consideration.
one sympathises with Ms.Gandhi for having to face such a severe harassment that was supported through offices by the presence of nefarious conmen like Mr.Gopalaswamy.
It was just another day for Sabira Khan as she was returning to her Dockyard Road residence in BPT Colony, Wadala, after taking private tuitions. But destiny had something else in store for her. All of a sudden, a blast ripped through a taxi that was parked next to where she was standing. It was the ill-fated night of 26 November 2008 when 10 terrorists stormed Mumbai and wrecked havoc. Four women who were travelling in the cab died immediately while Sabira was flung 20 feet away from the taxi. Her son, Abdul Amid Khan who was accompanying her, started bleeding after a splinter brushed past his right eye. Sabira too was bleeding profusely since her limbs were damaged. Her son, who was badly injured himself, rushed her to JJ hospital at Byculla but she was admitted almost after an hour. Abdul alleged, "My mother stayed at JJ for almost one and a half month but the doctors never treated her. They didn't dress her wounds properly and just meted out initial treatment to her." After Abdul complained to the dean about the neglect at the part of the doctor's concerned, his mother was discharged the next day. Abdul then admitted Sabira to Saifee hospital where he was helped out by social workers, Gulzar Ayub and Farid. They arranged Rs 1.5 lakhs for Sabira's operation. But the doctors soon detected that during a blood transfusion at JJ hospital, harmful bacteria-causing jaundice was transferred into her body.
"The operation got stalled. The doctors said that my mom had to b
