India Shining campaign, Advani himself admits, was the biggest blunder of NDA because it turn-ed out to be real hoax while the common man on the ground was starving. Everyone started ask-ing as to where is India shining and BJP had no answer. This blunder was a major factor in helping Congress win by a great margin over BJP. Therefore, it is wrong on the part of Rahul to slam this campaign because it helped Congress win a big way last time.

Congress was realistic and did not waste crores of governmnt money carry-ing out hoaxy ads in major newspapers. They had their feet on the ground right thro' and did not portray a false rosy picture of the economy with the intention of misleading the Indian public, just to get votes. Which party would you trust-one that is honest with you or one that wants to take you for a ride ?

Quite a lot if the people can give them an absolute majority. Esp. with the nuclear deal signed, the power supply would improve consider-ably, helping farmers and city-dwellers & students no end. India has indeed made major progress, like being one of the world's best steel producers, we make our own missiles, fighter aircraft, naval ships. Our IITs are recognized as one of the best in the world, IIT students are welcomed on a red car-pet by foreign universities for ad-missions, recognisition as a major economic and global player, one of the few countries in the world that has managed its economy well des-pite the global crisis. Yes, there have been a few failures as well that the Govt will strive to over-come when they get re-elected. Thank God for the broadly secular Congress Government that spells security for the minorities.In con- trast, its nearest opponent party would play one community against another from day one,cause avoidable bloodshed, driven by their mental obsessions, however, unrealistic.

I have some regard for Rahul, with some hope that being a young Indian, he will be a little more reasonable, unlike the oldies from all parties including congress, bjp, etc.
However, it seems he is maturing fast to be a politican than a real Indian leader.
Else, how would he forget what P Chidambaram had to say on Kandhahar?
Indian youth need to take stock of the situation. It is idiotic to compare the Kandhahar with mumbai. Mumbai was in India and they had no escape routes and also, now no country on earth will allow any hi-jack aircraft to land anywhere, unlike the situation in Kandhahar days.
sad that for a few votes, the brains is frozen!!
If this is what the youth of today is to offer to India, one can only say, God bless - if there is one
