Charity
by Ramasubramaniam Iyer on Apr 17, 2009 11:37 PM  | Hide replies

Charity is like say a person trapped in a well. Instead of throwing him the rope to help him come out Charity is making the man stay in the well and throw food to him, The man once starts receiving free food will not bother to come out of the well. That is what Charity does.

freebies are as good as bribes...unfortunately our politicians dont have any good agenda for growth...instead of investing in advanced agriculture facilities..like dams..irrigation..modern farming equipments..these folks are investing in freebies..

We need more Malleshiahs
by SaneIndian on Apr 17, 2009 11:20 PM

The guy is 100% correct. Nobody needs subsidy unless they are disabled physically or mentally.

All these freebies and handovers make people lazy.

The same goes true for Reservations too. If Goverment starts offering free jobs and food, Dalits get lazy and wont even try as they know that they can survive without even trying.

Develop Sira
by Bharath PM on Apr 17, 2009 09:17 PM

Sira was once a 'subah', a province in the Deccan. It had an army of 1,00,000. Today many monuments are lying scattered and it is reduced to a dusty, small town. Hope some one will improve it.

If only half of our citizens think like this
by Ramasubramaniam Iyer on Apr 17, 2009 07:11 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Mr Malleshaiah

I wish people like me learn from you. Slog and Earn is what should be the philosophies. I wish every farmer who is comitting suicide gives this a thought and get together and identify ways and means to improve their livelihood instead of comitting suicide.

That's what your leaders too want.
...That you slog, earn and eat. And slog more, if you can earn more they will tax you.

Isn't that great ? !

It is great message, don't look at govt for everything. Easy come easy go.
It is ray of hope in these days when everyone is asking of freebies which is not going do good for country in long term.

We need to create opportunities for these kind of people
