India- an ailing democracy
by ved prakash on Apr 16, 2009 08:43 AM  | Hide replies

If you are asked to choose 50 eggs from 500 rotten eggs, what do you get ? 50 more rotten eggs, because by the time you choose those 50, they rot more ! same goes for our parliamentory system.unless you change the very structure of our democracy, the rot will continue-criminals and inept people will keep coming to the lok sabha, hung parliament will be the result of multi-party system,no one will accept accountability and non-performance will rule this country.
qualification for candidature and qualification to vote is the answer.we need to put 'filters' at various stages.

Yes, you are correct. I agree with you. But with the kind of ppl in as parmentarians, howz it possible to change the very structure you are talking about ?
JUst don't talk, put it into some action!!
Lets try... at least Loka Satta is talking about clean politics, clean society.
At least vote for them, may be in coming few elections they would come to power.
Spread the message wht you are thinking. It should change the mind sets of all.
Lets TRY TRY and TRY.
If not how can we change the system ???
Through Dictator ship ? Come On... There is no chance of dictatorship in India.
Think how can we achieve the CHNAGE what you are thinking...
I believe it can be done with patience in years through vote with the help of parties like Lok Satta if they are real.

Man, there is no wrong with any political party or system. We have to blame the people who run the show, who manipulate everything. Everything has two sides and we have to chose the best out of everything. Capitalim, communisim, democracy, autocracy - everything has its own bad and good sides. A paper weight is a beautiful piece of transparent stone, which we use in the office. You can use the same paperweight to throw it someone and get him injured. Use everything judiciously. Instaed of blaming political parties, let us do something concrete. In demoracy, you get the government that you deserve. You can't complain about that!

Soniaji claimed that she doesnt have a own house in India. Then where is she living? On Road or what? Nowadays, a average salaried persons with Rs. 25,000/- per month himself is having a decent home in cities. How come this big netas claim that they donot have home. May be legally she may not have properties in her own name. But every thing will be in the Benamis. In her nomination she has declaired her properties as less than 40 Lakhs(In all forms). Can anyone belive? All money will be lying in Swiss banks. As per the latest information, she is sending most of the Indian funds to Italy. If she will not have that chance after this election. Please vote for true politicians who will work in favour of the people & the contry. Person who is voting will be the best judge of their local candidate. Please do vote but for a right candidate. Not some one like Sonia. Some news channels were claiming the Sonia has sacrificed the PM post in the last election. But every Indian knows that, every one opposed for her being the PM. That is the true story. Now she knows that she can never become PM & wants her son to become PM. This is becoming like a hereditary property to them. Comeon India we should change ourselfs from being slaves to these people.

VOTE FOR NATIONAL POLITICAL PARTIES FOR STABILITY AND INTEGRITY
by khairnar on Apr 16, 2009 08:28 AM

For a strong democracy and to maintain integrity and security of our country, people of India should come forward and vote for any national political party single majority mark of 272-275. Do not vote for any smaller parties, independents, rebels or regional parties who are creating division in lingustic, regional and casteist level which is the biggest epidemics of the present day politics in India, which is fast turing India's democracy for disintegration and anarchy!!! So for SAVE INDIAS UNITY AND INTEGRITY, VOTE ENMASSE FOR NATIONAL PARTIES AND GIVE THEM MAJORITY TO RULE THIS COUNTRY FOR NEXT FIVE YEARS. SINCE POST POLL TIE UP IS CHEATING OF PUBLIC AND UNDEMOCRATIC, IN CASE OF HUNG PARLIAMENT, WE ASK POLITICAL PARTIES TO MAKE A NATIONAL GOVT. LEADED BY THE SINGLE LARGEST PARTY AND NOT FOR POST POLL TIE UP WHICH IS AGAINST ETHICS OF DEMOCRATIC PRINCIPLES. IF NOT, FRESH ELECTION MAY BE IMPOSED TILL ONE GET MAJORITY! DONOT SEE THAT MONEY IS WASTING, BECAUSE IT HAS ALREADY WASTED AND PEOPLE ARE READY TO WASTE IT AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS STATE OF AFFARIS!!!

Seculiarism redefined IN Bharath
by anjaneya on Apr 16, 2009 08:05 AM  | Hide replies

Sikhs getting slaughered in thousands = A MISTAKE.
Hindus getting killed in Kashmir = Political problem.
Muslims getting killed by a few hundred = Holocaust.
Poor protestors getting shot in WB under Left Govt = Misunderstanding.

Banning Parzania in Gujarat = Communal.
Banning Da Vinci Code and Jo Bole So Nihaal = Secular.

Kargil Attack = Government failure.
Chinese invasion in 1962 = Unfortunate betrayal.

Reservations in every school and college on caste lines = Secular. Reservations in Minority institutions = Communal.

Fake encounters in Gujarat [Sohrabuddin] = BJP Communalism.
Fake encounters under Cong-NCP in Maharashtra [Khwaja Younus] = Police atrocity.

Talking about Hindus and Hinduism appeasment = Communal. Talking about Muslims and Islam = Secular.

BJP freeing 3 terrorists to save 100 Indian hostages = Shameful
Congress freeing 4 militants to save just a life of one daughter of I Home minister in Kashmir [Rubina Sayed] = Natural Political dilemma.

Attack on Parliament = BJP ineptitude. Not hanging Afzal Guru the mastermind despite Supreme Court orders = Humanity and Political dilemma.

BJP questioning Islam = Communal. Congress questioning Lord Ramas existance = Clerical Error.

Pls do not divide the nation further
by Kamadhenu on Apr 16, 2009 08:04 AM  | Hide replies

Religion-based head count in Army is irrelevant
Latest in the series of controversies centred on the Congress party’s fixation with Muslim grievances is the data collection exercise involving the Indian Armed Forces.
It is irrelevant and mischievous to mention about caste-based divisions in the Army during the British rule.
Congress leaders not only divided the country politically but also militarily. The military officers and men of pre-independence India , belonging to all communities fought the WWII together under the British.

Pakistan got a ready-made army at its birth. When Indian Muslims got Pakistan they also got a Muslim army carved out of the undivided Indian Army. This army produced Pakistani generals and officers who fought wars with India — the first full scale war being in 1965. This is history in living memory.

The Congress party having divided and ruled the country for decades is continuing with its dangerous game and monstrous thinking of doing a head count for the Army now.
