Election results...
by Rakesh Sharma on Apr 15, 2009 09:48 AM  | Hide replies

Sugar price 30 to 35 Rupees per kg.

Wheat flour 15 to 25 Rupees per kg.

Rice 20 to 100 Rupees per kg.

Pulses at more than 200 to 300 per cent at what they were during the NDA regime...

These are the great achievements of MMS. Aam Aadmi is sure hit hard and he will certainly teach lesson to these people for cheating him...

Neck and Neck fight between BJD,BJP & Congress in Orissa
by vijaya kumar on Apr 15, 2009 09:45 AM  | Hide replies

In Orissa there will be a three way fight almost neck and neck between BJD, BJP & Congress with a chance of congress going to 3rd place. In 2004 BJP got 19.3% vote and BJD 30.02%. The %age of BJP was less a they fought for less no. of seats. This time BJP vote %age will increase as people want a BJP/NDA govt. at the centre. Going with communists will cost BJD very much. Moreover BJD’s decision to break the alliance with BJP had not gone well with the people of Orissa. Last time Naveen Patnaik came to power due to BJP and popularity of Atalji.

And realising of Azhar Masood in Khandhar by Jaswant Singh during NDA rule

Dear Ashish, I respect your sentiments. Both BJP and congress are the two sides of one coin. But we cannot select the worst. or otherwise make a revolution to wipe out these parties and make a new India, which may take time and now we have to think about development.
Be broadminded. If Obama, a Keneyan, can become President of USA, that is because of broadmindness of those people. They people first think about their country's development and thinks nothing else. And we people are indulging in petty arguments and showing other nations that we are not united. Why we are taking about religions like Ram Mandir, Gurudwars, Masjids rather we should make India strong both economically and socially.
At least, in these turbulent times, Manmohan Singh has saved our economy by not letting it down during recession times. We should not be selfish by forgetting the good work by any govt. Rather we are befooling the people about inflation, price rise, job security, terror attacks etc. Think if NDA were there, how would they handle the attack like on Mumbai. We cannot answer. It is the only ruling party which gets the criticism.
So, we should buid India rather than parties. But ability to understand facts and figures should be there.
At least don't vote for communal parties like NDA allies.

What We Hindus Demand
by Milind Kulkarni on Apr 15, 2009 09:41 AM  | Hide replies

Giving a subsidy of Rs.25,000 for Christians in state to make pilgrimage to Jerusalem and other places in Israel/Palestine. This is extension of the communal practice of over Rs.35,000 subsidy to Muslims for their pilgrimage to Mecca [by the Government of India]. No such subsidies are given to Hindus. On the other hand, Hindu devotees are required to buy tickets, make payments to see their god in the temples; they don't get any subsidy for their pilgrimage to their holy places like Tirupati, Amaranth, Kasi, Somnath, Ujjain, Guruvaur, Manasarovar etc.
A Rs.15,000 grant is made to Muslims and Christians getting married. No such thing is given to Hindus from the coffers of the government. The TTD's “Kalyanamastu‿ program is not from government funds but from what the Hindu devotees give to Hindu temples. The Rs.15,000 grant to Muslims and Christians is from tax monies of the people, 95% of the tax revenues are coming from Hindus.
Now the Government of Andhra Pradesh is celebrating at its expense seemantham of these couples.
GOAP (Government of Andhra Pradesh) is implementing 4% reservation for Muslims simply because they are Muslims for admissions to professional colleges even as they have got many professional colleges (which have no limit) for engineering, medicine, MBA, BCA, Dentistry, etc. This reservation is contested in the courts and despite the court adversely commenting, the Government of Andhra Pradesh is implementing this reservation scheme. For Parliament Elections please choose and VOTE for one of the Nationwide prepoll alliances either BJP lead NDA or Congress lead UDF. Any vote for others will lead to chaos and hung Parliament. All other alliances, like the so called 3rd front, Lalu-mulayam singh-Pasan,Jaya-Pmk-Left-MDMK, telugudesam-trs-Left are confusing voters and will bargain for 100s of crores for every MP in Govt formation. They have the track record of withdrawing support at crucial time which lead to another election.
Let us form a stable Govt. Elect only from out of UDF or NDA. All others are opportunists -
If both alliances are there, vote your preference to only one of the two as you choose. If only one front is contesting in your area, vote for them. If both are absent, vote for the honest person amongst the contestants without minding the party to which he belongs. Save India. avoid another election before 5 years.

In India anything for H1ndus is communal and anything for others is secular. This pseudosecularism is shifting lot of H1ndus from secularism to communalism. Most Mslims & Xtans r already communal by default.

Citizens please vote.
by Anand on Apr 15, 2009 09:36 AM

Dear voters who are going to vote on thursday please remember you are not just voting, you are deciding the future of India and its citizens. The future of our children depend on the development of our beloved country and its security. There are 3 choices one is an old medicine which we tried many times for more than 55 years and proved to be not working. Then we have the BJP which we tried for 5 years and which worked wonderful for the nation. This medicine could be tried again and see whether they can improve further. Then we have the opportunistic and outdated expired medicine called the commies. They know only to oppose everything except that of the muslims. They talk of freedom of speech but will oppose Taslima of Bangladesh and will boot her out of Bengal, elsewere they will make a hue and cry if Hindus ask for stopping the prothelysing foreigners coming in as tourists. Please do vote and decide who can work genuinely for the development of our country based on its rich culture and religion. Our children should be able to live in our country with dignity and freedom to practice our indigenous religion. We do not want to convert any one but should not let the political masters openly encourage people to convert as is happening in Andhra. The CM through his brother Anil Kumar is encouraging convertion. This is not secular it needs a fiiting reply. Vote out congi.

BJP/NDA has an upperhand in UP for LS 09
by vijaya kumar on Apr 15, 2009 09:35 AM  | Hide replies

In UP people are now fed up with Maya, Mulayam & Amar Singh. In the last by-election of assembly Maya lost due to low percentage of voting and Upper cast voters /Brahmins stayed indoor and not come to vote. Now the upper caste voters who voted for BSP are drifting away from BSP and this LS election they are going to vote for BJP. Congress is only in few gandhi family seats. Wind has already started in UP in favour of BJP and its alliance with Ajit Singh Lokdal also help BJP to get more kissan vote and more seats. Middle class and salaried class are happy with the proposal of BJP to exempt upto 3.00 lakh from Income Tax and other welfare measures declared in the Manifesto of BJP. Moreover price rise daily need items/food items & Varun Gandhi episode would also have some impact in the voting pattern. It will be a 3 way neck to neck fight between BJP, SP and BSP in U.P this time with BJP having an upper-hand. This is the ground situation in UP now.

I agree. Also the BJP manifesto is better for poor people and aam aadmi. Whereas Congress has promised Rice and Wheat at Rupees 3 per Kg. BJP has promised the same at Rs.2 per Kg. This is a masterstroke and if BJP is able to create awareness about such good things in its manifesto, it is surely going to form the next Govt.

I think this election results will be more of mixed nature trying to elect people comparatively better but from any party.
As Swiss Bank has become one of the agenda of BJP, it might get an edge over congress over several issues: Terrorirsm, not acting in the case of Afzal Guru, not able to manage economic crisis in the country ( though it is global), not a firm goverment but glorofied PM position controlled from rear seat. All these will affect congress and may give a chance to BJP .

Don't forget history...No party except Atalji's 13 month old govt. has been able to retain power since 1971. Even after NDAs second term these same channels were giving only 80 to 100 seats to Congress. But you are not going to learn from history being a slave of a family....
