Giving a subsidy of Rs.25,000 for Christians in state to make pilgrimage to Jerusalem and other places in Israel/Palestine. This is extension of the communal practice of over Rs.35,000 subsidy to Muslims for their pilgrimage to Mecca [by the Government of India]. No such subsidies are given to Hindus. On the other hand, Hindu devotees are required to buy tickets, make payments to see their god in the temples; they don't get any subsidy for their pilgrimage to their holy places like Tirupati, Amaranth, Kasi, Somnath, Ujjain, Guruvaur, Manasarovar etc. A Rs.15,000 grant is made to Muslims and Christians getting married. No such thing is given to Hindus from the coffers of the government. The TTD's “Kalyanamastu‿ program is not from government funds but from what the Hindu devotees give to Hindu temples. The Rs.15,000 grant to Muslims and Christians is from tax monies of the people, 95% of the tax revenues are coming from Hindus.
NEW DELHI: The Narendra Modi baiters among NGOs on Monday suffered a major setback when a Supreme Court-appointed special investigation team (SIT) charged a leading activist, Teesta Setalvad, with adding morbidity into the post-Godhra riots in Gujarat by “cooking up macabre tales of killings”.
SIT headed by former CBI director R K Raghavan said “many incidents were cooked up, false witnesses were tutored to give evidence about imaginary incidents, and false charges levelled against the then Ahmedabad police chief P C Pandey”.
Sit report, which was submitted before a bench comprising Justices Arijit Pasayat, P Sathasivam and Aftab Alam, said there was no truth in some of the major allegations levelled by NGOs. According to the report, the untruths included: A pregnant Muslim woman Kausar Banu was gangraped by a mob, who then with sharp weapons gouged out the foetus; Dumping of dead bodies into a well by rioters at Narora Patiya; and n Police botching up investigation into the killing of British nationals who were on a visit to Gujarat. SIT also said the charge that Mr Pandey was helping mob that attacked the Gulbarga Society was untrue. “The truth was that he was helping hospitalisation of riot victims and making arrangement of police bandobast,” 22 witnesses, who had submitted identical affidavits before various courts relating to riot incidents, were questioned by SIT. “It was found that they were tutored. That's none of my business. I am just reproducing a news item from a reputable publication. as for the length it is the shorter version. the Times of India version is much longer
It is painful to hear form Congress political luminaries like Mrs Sonia Gandhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Kapil Sibal and Rahul Gandhi to repeatedly quote Kandhar for gaining political mileage over BJP then ruling the country. Hijacking of Indian Airlines IC814 fight on 24th December 1999 was a painful experience for the nation. Poor 25 year young newly married Rupin Katyal was stabbed t death on board by the hijackers. It is well known that handling of hijacking was extremely poor and the hijackers coolly slipped to Kandhar via Lahore, and Dubai.
Once hijacking was successful with 188 lives on board, and no support coming from any quarter let me ask these Congress political luminaries what they have done for saving 188 lives? I very strongly feel that there was no other alternative but to succumb to the demands of hijackers to save lives of 188 passengers and crew members in lieu of three terrorist Maulana Masood Azhar, Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar, and Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh.

I fully agree with your sentiments. When daughter of Muftt Mohammed was kidnapped same congress released terrorists for the sake of ONE LIFE. What wrong did BJP do when they released 2-3 terrosrists for the sake of 188 lives. If you analyze in detail, today's problems in Kashmir, Assam and rest of India are due to Congress policies during last 60 years......

Buddy, it's advani who started it. Agar bolna aata hai toh usko sun-na bhi aana chahiye. Woh doosron ki G mein anguli karega toh baaki log bewkoof thodi hain. Woh uski G mein angootha karenge hi. Abhi dard ho raha hai toh rota hai.

:-) Kya baat hai. Fully agree with you. Advani believes he can say anything and get away with it. He has managed to fool the Indians into believing Muslims are India's enemy. It's very sad and unfortunate that some Indians have even bought his theory. When you read the posts on this board for example, you realize how Advani has managed to take this country for a ride. Look at the history of the world. No civilization has ever progressed where its population was divided. You can have differences but you cannot hate your countrymen and hope to make the country prosperous. Just for sake of his votes, he has done an irreparable damage to this country. He is indeed India's biggest enemy. BTW, I have not been paid by Congress to write this nor have I benefitted from reservations.

Gujarat riots was a collective outburst of suppression over the years because of minority appeasement,,, but Sikh riots was a pre-meditated one...and there in lies the difference.
